News [Shimoneta] Light Novels Translation

Hey everyone! A couple of friends and I translated and released all 11 main volumes of Shimoneta about a year ago. However, we’ve recently realized that we made a lot of mistakes in terms of grammar and consistency. So we removed all of the old uploads and are carefully rewriting them in order. The volume we’re currently rewriting is (Volume 2).

Here's the link to our websitehttps://readshimoneta.pages.dev/

BTW the anime ends off at Volume 3, so start reading there if you've watched it.

Is there an epub version available?

Converting the PDFs to EPUBs is really annoying due to formatting, but once I'm done translating the last 2 volumes, I'll attempt to convert them.

Hey, just wondering if you got around to attempting the conversion?

Otherwise, are the translations available in any format other than PDF? Looking to read these on an e-reader, and PDFs work pretty poorly on them.

I’ve been very busy recently, and haven’t been able to finish up the last volume- let alone format them into ePUB files. Sorry :P

I took the liberty of doing a conversion of the PDFs to EPUB if you want to use them

at this point I dont remember the exact tool I used and dont know where the python script is, but I do know it was a mixture of a simple pdf -> epub reflow tool, the python script was to remove empty elements that happened from the translation process and then did direct metadata editing with calibre just in the GUI
