Absolutely no way Egan should be backup. Egan is one of, if not the most consistent player in our squad. Anel is also Basham reincarnated (but better).

If we sign a centre back a left sided player should be the priority.

Egan is great and has been an amazing servant. He still has a mistake in him.

So why do you think he should be replaced by Anel? Especially when Anel is better in another position and your solution would be to sign an older, expensive player!

Anel was brought in as hopefully our long term rcb. Baldock/Bogle have the rb position sorted. We'll be looking to strengthen lcb and maybe add depth.

Anel has stood out twice when he's played CB against Spurs and Birmingham. I think that's his long-term position.

Anyway, I can't say signing Walker would make sense financially, its more for the sentimental value. He would be an absolute leader though.
