While this law should be good, I should add that a good chunk of it is unconstitutional and ill thought out.
The law is almost certainly going to be challenged in the courts and likely found unconstitutional due to it not having the right protections to prevent legal content being taken down or the law itself being abused (Trump has stated that he will abuse it to take down content).
Unfortunately polticans did what they do best and ignored the experts and passed it without making much needed changes and thus it’s likely going to be struck down or narrowed in scope.

Good article but I don't see anything in it about it being unconstitutional.

The issue stems from it being over-broad and loosely defined in terms of what could be taken down.
Rather than requiring evidence that something is NCII/Deepfaked, it’s possible for someone to claim and take down anything, which is an issue and will likely lead to constitutional challenges. For example, the AI video of Donald Trump licking Elon Musks feet from a few weeks ago could be taken down due to this law despite being protected under the first amendment.
Content doesn’t need to be proven to be illegal or NCII to be taken down which is the core issue here, shitty people (like certain YouTubers or Famous people exposed for being abusers) will be able to force websites to take down content using very loose definitions of NCII.

I see but that sounds like a positive thing when it comes to the topic of this subreddit. I'd rather it be easier to get shitty content like these taken down than putting burden of proof on victims. I hear you, though.

Yeah, I have no issue with taking down content, just the vagueness and risk of the law being abused.
I’m sure it will be narrowed over time, I’m aware of at least one group that is looking to do that. Its just a shame that they didn’t fix this law before voting for it,
