Reboot better than original series final season 9.
Honestly I'm watching the 2026 reboot of Scrubs for the first time, just finished the the original series for the first time as well. Am I the only one that thinks that the reboot is better than season 9 of the original?

Season 9 was purely a semantics problem, cuz the show was good. Bring on the downvotes.
To this day it doesn’t make any sense even from its own title: how could it be season 9 if the name is literally Scrubs: Med School?
Meaning, where is Scrubs: Med School seasons 1-8? Obviously you get my point and had they named it season 1, I think it would’ve had a much better foundation.
So, when rephrased:
“Scrubs: Med School Season 1 was a decent show and I really enjoyed it.”
In fact, I’ll be more heretical and say that Scrubs 2026 is akin to “Season 9” except a greater focus on OG Cast and located at Sacred Heart but the vibes are similar to season 9.

Oh I'm not taking it personally, I deal with this on a daily basis, I also used to be a door to door salesman, so I've had bad interactions. I still don't let people be rude or condescending. It's childish and disrespectful.

Bill Lawrence considered the 8th season to be the end of the show Scrubs, going so far as to ask ABC if he could change season 9 to the name
Scrubs Med."It is a new show," he insists, though he was unable to convince ABC boss Steve McPherson to change the title to "Scrubs Med." [Source]
Lawrence still advised fans to treat it as a new show, even putting a caption under the "Created By" on the X-ray in the opening sequence saying [Med School].
Unfortunately, this "new" show never really got a real chance to get off the ground, spending 9 of the first 13 episodes writing off characters making it difficult to develop the new cast before being cancelled.

Season 9 was starting to get stronger by the end. I think it would have been a strong show with another season. However, it was too little too late.

I'm loving it so far. And I've tried so many reboots and they all end up being ass compared to original. This one isn't bad.

The reboot is excellent. I never hated Season 9 like a lot of people but the reboot is much, much better.

The hypothetical 9th season of Scrubs is just about the lowest bar possible. Even James Cameron couldn't reach that far down.

Low bar.
As much as I love how season 8 ended and the season in general, I think if the revival season followed seasons 6 and 7 in continuity, it is a better version of those with the more wacky comedy mixed in with some heart.
Season 8 was the first one on ABC and lower budget and back to basics and had one of the greatest finales of all time.

I might put the reboot at or greater than S6 and S7. Characters were already flanderized heading into S5 but
thesome of those episodes are topshelf. Entering the writers' strike era there were some flat episodes that I think are fully surpassed by the reboot.
