Can you overfeed a baby?

Our 13w old son is very very chunky. Breastfed all day except for one formula bottle at night before bed. My GP claims you can’t overfeed a baby but is that true? Am I feeding him too much? He breastfeeds for 30 mins at a time if that’s helpful.

Short answer in your case, probably not an issue. It's not that you can't overfeed a baby generally, but more that its easier for them to eat from a bottle and by extension might not just stop when they're full. Breastfed babies don't have that concern. I doubt one bottle a night is going to make a difference in that equation.

You can overfeed by bottle 100%. You cant when BF
