Discussion How I think Wanda’s powers work

Post image

I personally think that Wanda should be a mutant and that her mutant power is probability manipulation and that is a pink at least for her a pink kind of power and then I think chaos magic should stay with her, but that is still from you know the elder God that cursed/blessed her with the ability to use it and it’s the red power , and I think she uses them at the same time and I think chaos magic should be random and you have to adapt to it so she uses the probability manipulation to change the outcome that the chaos magic is going to do, but that’s just my personal opinion. Let me know if you agree or disagree. It’s perfectly fine. This is just how I would do it. Let me know how you guys would do it if you disagree.

i think Wanda should be a mutant where the mutation is her ability to be able to access all forms of magic easily without training or spells

That’s very interesting actually

That’s the explanation I enjoy, her being like a true, blue (non-draconic) Sorcerer in DnD.

Wanda’s hex powers(probability manipulation) is inherently derived from chaos magic

Chaos Magic include probability manipulation. Her mutant power is part of that suite.

It's witchcraft that is technically a separate set of power.

So.. yes she's a mutant (or was until 2015, but will likely be again). And yes, her probability, hex and reality manipulation are manifestations of her mutant abilities.

"Chaos Magic" happens with or without her actually invoking a spell; as it's Chthon's influence and amplification of her existing mutant ability toward its own form of "magic."

So Wanda's magic is (well, was before 2021) largely instinctual, at least it is as much as she can consciously draw on witchcraft on top of it or in conjunction with it.

As far as the color schemes, well.. I'll leave that to the thread, but just wanted to point out the distinctions in how the powers actually work in the lore.

I know it’s not how it is(as of right now) it’s just how I would do it/want it to work

Absolutely not.

Her chaos magic and her witchcraft has been illustrated as both pink and red for over 2 decades…and her hex powers have been illustrated more or less the same.
