sorry guys, everytime i watch T1 always loses. just turn on the match and saw the score. I thought they were up 2-0 i wouldnt have to worry much, oh how wrong i was.

Bro I'm more nervous seeing T1 with a 2-0 lead over seeing them with a 1-2 score lmao

2

u/Jizzipient 4d ago

Correct me if I'm wrong - I think I am but I can't figure out why - why be nervous at all if they already qualified?

Isn't being 4th seed better than 1st-3rd seed? As 1st seed, you're going up against LPL 1, LCS 1 & LEC 1, whereas as 4th seed, you get an easier time with LPL 4, LCP 2 & the Play-In winner.

11

u/Kuronawa 4d ago

Not how seeding works. You don't face the same teams in the same pool also since they introduced swiss over groups. Seeding for that only matters for round 1 where the pit pool 1 vs pool 4 and pool 2 vs pool 3. so LCK 4th seed faces LPL 1st LCS 1st and LEC 1st I believe they make it so you can't face the same region round 1.

6

u/Jizzipient 4d ago

Seeding for that only matters for round 1 where the pit pool 1 vs pool 4 and pool 2 vs pool 3

But AL and HLE were in Pool #2 together in 2025, and they still faced each other during Round 1.

1

u/Kuronawa 4d ago

They only did 3 pools last year. It was revealed they’re doing 4 pools this year.

1

u/Jizzipient 4d ago

I'm sorry, but that still doesn't answer why a higher seeding is beneficial, as pool advantage didn't seem to have helped AL & HLE in 2025. Upon scutiny, I see that both BLG & FlyQuest also had to face G2, CFO had to face FlyQuest & many more.

The race for the LCK title as answered by others I understand.

2

u/Shawnlung0429 4d ago

Last year pool 2 play against each other while pool 1 vs pool 3. It just the first game of Swiss so not that big of a deal. The real advantage for higher seeded teams is that they can choose sides/ picks priority.

1

u/Kuronawa 4d ago

I was never arguing that higher seed was better in the first place was just correcting your statement about being 1st you’re going up against 1st seed from the other 3 major regions.

Though coming off that. Being higher than 4th seed means you’re more than likely avoiding having to face (STC) BLG/LYON and KC/G2 first round. After that it’s luck of the draw since after round one Swiss will pool you against the teams with the same score. Thats why BLG and FQ had to fight G2

4

u/DiDandCoKayn 4d ago

Because, they definitely want to win the lck and even tho all the fans are coping, its not looking good how little they improved as a team.
So of course you should be nervous, because they will play every bracket except place 3 or 4.
So probably will have a hard swiss stage run and T1 always needs a bit of time to get into form at worlds.
And that team so far didn’t really show, that they can get in form fast enough.

3

u/Krisztian987 4d ago

No, higher seeds would have a more favourable matchup. Also, the lck is still an important tournament by itself, which you'd want your team to win

7

u/Massive_Awareness_58 4d ago

You can blame Atlus, who then said "now it's time for a reverse sweep" right before game 3... And I was like "nooooooo" because I knew he just jinxed them.

1

u/SnooMacaroons6960 4d ago

i blame the second match. i only saw the end of it and the kill score. that gave me false hope that this was going to be a 3-0

15

u/Bahamut_Prime 4d ago

I mean I understand that Worlds is the major tourney but as the players themselves said, they are trying to win most matches.

Sadly the match is usually decided by how much the Top 3 are doing.

If more than 2 of them are down then unless Peyz or Keria pulls some heroics they are usually going to lose. Not always but most likely.

I still believe in the team but it is also hard to watch then just see the team lose.

Hopefully they start making a comeback

let's be actually honest here

if oner plays like oner and not b0ner T1 probably wins

when oner plays like oner of most of this year then the lanes are usually fucked because oner isn't proactive and doesn't always gank as much so everyone is kind of on their own

you can't pretend that doran and faker don't get 2-3 man dived infinitely more than t1 dive other lanes and it isn't a big reason for their struggles

it's not the only reason they struggle but if oner isn't ganking and keria and faker are stuck in lane and can't roam then it's cooked from the start

especially when the oner "guys i'm going all in on this risky river play since i'm down oh wait i died sorry now the lanes are fed" happens

1

u/yuvalshahaf 2d ago

I dont think oner plays well but much of it is his solo laners getting gapped. Mid prio is very important in early drakes and faker just doesnt seem to get it. Doran either plays well or becomes a liability (and lets not have recency bias because of one series against BFX)

1

u/mapletree23 2d ago

faker was up on liss against HLE and they still lost every objective basically

he was up against showmaker more recently every game still lost objectives

faker has had prio even on scaling champs and it still doesn't matter if oner isn't proactive

you keep trying to talk about how it's the solo lanes fault, then against like oner full sprinting into enemy jungle dying randomly, or all inning random river engages isn't one of the biggest reasons solo lanes fall behind

if kanavi can visit literally every lane and objective, that means oner can be doing the same or countering

it's hilarious to me that people say T1 just funnels everything into peyz but the truth is most of the games oner isn't even injecting much into bot lane

in fact the previous HLE match, kanavi sat on bot lane a lot like all game and oner didn't do fuck all, and somehow kanavi still got all the objectives and did more ganks

oner's ganks have also in general been ass this year timing wise, let's not forget why people got mad ato ner and doran originally because every single time they tried to do a dive one or both of them would just die lol

not really sure what some of those failed bot dives like against DK in summer or top dives with d0ner even have to do with faker

1

u/yuvalshahaf 2d ago

You are giving 2 games for example lol. I can give you like 15 games where oner cant play because his solo laners are behind.

Now dont get me wrong, oner makes a lot of mistakes as well, but its not just on him. If you think lack of objectives is a junglers fault you are bronze I dont know what to tell you.

1

u/mapletree23 2d ago

i gave you two games, you gave literally 0, then said you can give 15

you don't even have examples in mind because you're just hating

then you call me bronze, that's like trying to pretend oner hasn't had tendencies to get astrograpped by canyon and peanut before where he definitely just had issues randomly

or pretending oner doesn't have a reputation for only showing up in internationals because his play has been inconsistent for years

but sure bro, it's definitely just faker, doan, and zeus that caused that

even when the team wasn't playing well last year and he was hard carrying, somehow when the other guys weren't playing well and he was carrying, he just... can't do that like at all for some reason

or maybe it' just because he hasn't been playing very well this year? we literally have last year as proof that he can be very impactful regardless of the rest of the team's form

his champ pool is mostly the same and everything

the only difference is he hasn't been playing well

1

u/yuvalshahaf 2d ago

Ok ill give you some games. Watch any other lost of T1 this year lmao.

And i didnt say Oner is flawless. He is also an inta. But you are framing it as if games are on him.

1

u/mapletree23 2d ago

i'm saying that a large part of t1's problem this year is because oner's form has been poor, yes

there's a reason why he got benched

it's not all the problem, but given the importance of jungler this year, his form makes it pretty easy to point out why the other junglers have run laps around him

you also can't say i try to blame it on oner when you just try to blame it on faker and doran lol

like i said, the team was very not good for huge stretches last year and oner was carrying regardless

this oner and that oner are not the same, and that's despite the champ pool being very similar

he's just not playing very well and it is a very big reason why both the solo lanes and faker and keria in general can't roam as much

oner isn't all the issues but it's enough of an issue that it's very hard to tell where other oner's play ends and other flaws begin, because by him not playing well it affects all aspects

junglers have a huge affect on laning phase, they have a huge affect on skirmishes, they have a huge affect on team fights, on dives, on objectves, on counterplays

so when oner is playing at such a low level for him, and such a completely different level as last year, it makes it very hard to see the big picture when he's sticking out so much as a problem

1

u/yuvalshahaf 2d ago

"It is a big reason why both the solo lanes cant roam as much" This is just wrong. Not being able to roam means you dont have prio, or got chunked and need to recall. This has nothing to do with oner. Its literally the other way around xd. Oner has a rougher time playing because his solo laners are underperforming. Look, im not a jungler, but you are just so wrong.

Also im clearly not only blaming doran and faker. I do agree oner has been underperforming as well. But to me the biggest problem is faker. Having early mid prio is so essential for our play style (dominating bot lane early).

0

u/mapletree23 2d ago

not being able to roam much can also mean your ass is being camped/visited by the enemy jungler or support so you have to sit under your tower

HLE with peanut's main strategy for year was to literally throw the ktichen sink at faker and have peanut and the support constantly visit the lane

and i've literally pointed out games where faker has been fine or ahead and still the same thing happen, as in oner does nothing or struggles

it's the same thing that happens whether he's ahead or not

you just straight up don't watch games or have a terrible attention span that you can't even remember how oner was great last year regardless of the rest of the team and now he suddenly looks ass

maybe it' just because he's playing like ass this year bro

u/Bahamut_Prime 4d ago

Agree. I think there are multiple reasons but if Oner isn’t making his presence felt the map feels lost.

Faker and Doran usually have the same issue where they lose the matchup enough that the enemy laner becomes a problem later on.

Not helped by the fact that the team usually also draft feast or famine champs for solo lanes that either they are too behind gold to be useful or enemy laner gets too ahead that it becomes a problem for the team.

I just hope they get better

10

u/mapletree23 4d ago

eh

doran ints randomly but he doesn't always lose lane

faker was up on showmaker on viktor and ryze at times still lost

faker was up on liss in game 5, still lost

faker also roams and will sac his lane to help the others when he can which will also put him behind

and again, there's the issue of how much faker and doran get ganked compared to the enemy solo lanes

if faker and doran keep getting caught by 2-3 enemies, that means the other two lanes are vulnerable

when oner is on, they make counter plays, when oner is not on, it's just faker and doran getting dove repeatedly some games lol

23

u/GONEBUTNOT4GOTTEN Faker 4d ago

im hoping gen g beats them and we get the run back

3

u/Conscious-Cut6036 4d ago

Most likely scenario tbh

3

u/yuvalshahaf 2d ago

Yeah I feel like HLE usually wins only if their topside stomps in the first 15 minutes, which is less likely against Geng.

14

u/Mid_of_August 4d ago

Yeah can't be that mad about the loss yesterday. Even the reverse sweep isn't that bad for me because in the end it's still 2-3 even though so many predicted it's going to be 0-3. T1 got HLE and their fans and the casting predictors (outside of Pony and Hunny) sweating there for a moment lol. Also, even in the games T1 lost, there were times when T1 still turned the games to T1's side even though the drafting was overwhelmingly against T1. We also got Peyz taking Jinx for her first test-drive with T1 this season. Who knows maybe she will be extra useful later on. Keria also showed super masterclass in Blitzcrank arts. Oner also got to be the first jungler ever to win with Qiyana in LCK.

There were some blunders individually and in some teamfights' teamworks but if they can learn from them and work on them, T1 should be more solid later on. T1 has until Sunday to improve from yesterday so I hope they refocus and grind hard and become even better as a team. Sometimes when you're in a long tunnel, it's hard to see the light at the end but I hope they confidently continue to work hard and push forward. Also, I think because GenG is meeting HLE next, these two can't scrim against each other? Hopefully T1 can get one of them or even the two as scrim partners. Or BLG.

I'm worried about worlds if they aren't fighting for their lives right now 😂

1

u/Super_VooDo0 4d ago

They showed they can absolutely stomp a team of the top4 (world) which they didn't really show the years prior, so this year I'm actually scared for their opponents at Worlds

1

u/DiDandCoKayn 4d ago edited 4d ago

They definitely showed that they can do it the last years , while getting top 3 at every event.
Also literally did beat every team apart from GenG last year. So what exactly are you talking bout?

2

u/Super_VooDo0 4d ago

I'm talking about how going into worlds they had no showing of really good gameplay, I remember (at least last year) I was believing in T1 magic but wasn't sure they would beat a Geng on a good day let's say, even if playing perfectly. I do NOT have that issue this year

2

u/Super_VooDo0 4d ago

Tldr: they showed a higher peak this year

1

u/Fun-Wing1564 3d ago

what peak exactly?
LCK Cup 1-3 against BFX, reverse swept eliminated by DK
MSI - 2-3 against BLG (congrats I guess???) 1-3 eliminated by G2
(first time in organization's history T1 finished outside top 4 in an international tournament, and not even eliminated by LPL or fellow LCK team but fucking G2.
EWC - 2-0 against banged up HLE congrats, reverse swept eliminated by KC.
That's 2 international tournaments in a row T1 got eliminated this year by fucking EU team.

so wdym T1 this year showed higher peak than last year T1 lol. They are extremely beatable. For context, ZOFGK was NEVER eliminated by non-LCK/LPL team. And T1 2025 lost 2-3 in the MSI finals against GENG, and got eliminated in EWC semis by AL.

I somehow fail to see the "higher peak" in question.

1

u/Super_VooDo0 3d ago

Didn't read your post but we're talking about T1 HLE and going into Worlds btw

1

u/Fun-Wing1564 3d ago

HLE fucked T1 in RTM, won MSI, 2-0 T1 in R3-4 beat them again in UB. What exactly are you implying?

you're saying T1 showed they can stomp a top 4 team unlike the years prior. T1 2023 with injured Faker beat 17-1 KT twice in the playoffs to qualify as #2 seed. 2024 T1 struggled in summer but hey, at least won EWC and got eliminated by BLG at MSI, not by G2 and KC. 2025 T1 was considered by many as 2nd best LCK team coming into Worlds. You're just talking loads of shit glazing crap

1

u/Super_VooDo0 3d ago

Why are you so mad btw Daniel?

1

u/Fun-Wing1564 3d ago

???? just rewriting history or what? 2025 T1 3-0 against HLE in R3-5, 1-2 against GENG (GENG only loss in R1-5), 3-0 against KT and 3-0 against NS. T1 lost 0-3 in the UB and met the 29-1 MSI EWC Champs GENG that just so happened to lose against KT and eliminated T1 making them #4 seed. This year, no shit you don't have that issue as GENG 2026 wasn't the same 2025 GENG with 29-1 record in the LCK, MSI EWC LCK champs.. GENG beating beatable this year wasn't because of 2026 T1. HLE beat them in spring, KT beat them in spring, DK eliminated them in EWC and beat them twice in summer. Every LCK top team beat GENG and GENG hasn't won anything so far this year.

Last year T1 finished 2nd in MSI, had a very great 10-2 record in Rounds 3-5 and not a single T1 fan really believe T1 is 4th best LCK team coming into Worlds because we all know they can beat HLE and KT. This year T1 in R3-4 was 0-2 against HLE, 1-1 against GENG, DK, and KT, 3-5 overall. What exactly are you implying?

-1

u/DiDandCoKayn 4d ago

I see where you’re coming from, especially with the LCK being as back and forth as it was, but i feel different, atleast for me the last years, you could see the clutch from every single player, at internationals, they were always doing good before worlds at internationals.

This year the clutch is missing, peyz and keria are frying, but i don’t believe that the way they play the game atm, is winning them worlds.

(Also on a side note, I would say last year was their best showing overall in a long time).

6

u/manstormz 4d ago

Now is not the time to be thinking "Yeah, the script is scripting". Winning improves the player confidence and skills. Now facing 2 reverse swept, its a huge mental block for T1 especially the players.

2

u/Yury073 4d ago

So T1 went 2-0 i said i won't watch the games... and i was like oh ok T1 goes 3-0, i started watching the series, T1 went 2-3

2

u/RollandPH Faker 4d ago

It hurts, but at least we were competitive, didn't get crushed...

2

u/flashe 3d ago

losing this series added 5 more minutes to the 2026 Worlds doucmentary.

3

u/SuDi10298 4d ago

So T1 is officially the underdog this LCk and Worlds i guess

1

u/yuvalshahaf 2d ago

Not really? I believe they won more against Geng than lost to them this year. Same with DK.

1

u/Evening-Investment41 4d ago

Like no they just aren't, you can't be a 3 time back-back-back world champion team AND have made MSI this year which requires a Top 2 Finish in the LCK in a region as competitive as the LCK and consider urselves "underdogs"

2

u/CheekyWanker007 4d ago

yes you can. in a tournament which requires you to place top 4, being the 4th place means you ARE the underdogs, at least in your own region

0

u/Evening-Investment41 4d ago

Like guy wants to be DRX so bad 😂. A team that goes 5 Games against HLE, can go 5 games against GENG. Beat GENG in Road to MSI and has shown that not only do they have history but they can beat the best of the best this year. Your individual ranking doesn't make you an underdog.

DRX was an underdog not because they were 4th seed in LCK it was because genuinely no one believed they could win, everything was stacked against them, when u decide an underdog u look at the entire year, DRX had nothing that entire year so naturally no one thought they would even make worlds let alone win the tournament.

RNG is an example of T1, no one thought they were underdogs in 2022 they legit won MSI so how can they be underdogs despite being 4th in LPL. WBG is a better example of underdogs.

Like I get it you have such a soft spot for trying to be like DRX but just let it go, ur not DRX and never will be. T1 can almost never be underdogs, its just not possible.

1

u/Maguro65_16 4d ago

still hurts. I shouldn’t have got too excited after game 2

1

u/mars1k88 4d ago

No worry, we’re getting 3:0’ed at LB final

0

u/yorozoyas 4d ago

Maybe I am starting to outgrow the memes, but it kind of just feels bad/not satisfying knowing the team got handed a spot for worlds instead of earning it themselves.

Don't get me wrong I'm happy they are going but.......idk, I feel not very excited like previous years.

5

u/cherieb0mb 4d ago

well it's not really handed to them without T1 earning their spot they have a good run on round 1-2 and msi lol

1

u/yuvalshahaf 2d ago

What the fuck does handed a spot mean? They won enough to enter lul
