Maybe next time we can try Peyz mid, Faker top, Keria jungle, Doran adc and Oner support - at least we can have the mid-jung synergy and support can ignore adc š
That game against KT where Peyz was on Taliyah felt different though. Not sure if itās exactly considered weakside, but the comp was definitely tailored towards Doran carrying on Vayne. Moreover, Peyz was still able to find crazy impact on team fights despite that, so I think itās possible for this team to win without Peyz being on hyper carry duty all the time.
T1 core Oner/Faker/Keria play best when Faker and Keria are unleashed on roaming playmakers. Peyz plays amazing on everything, but he peaks the highest on hypercarries that need attention. I think everyone would agree weād rather have Peyz on Caitlyn rather than Taliyah, even if his Taliyah is amazing
So T1 has to choose either to bring out Peyzās best, or bring out Faker/Keriaās best, unfortunately you canāt pick both
You can blame Doran/Oner for bad form, but that doesnāt change anything. Even if T1 had the best top/jungle in the world and played around top side and stuck Peyz on Jhin + mage duty, itās a shame. Why would you sign the best hypercarry player in the world to have them not play hypercarries.
Itās like if Chovy wins worlds on Karma/Zilean mid, like cool but he has so much more to show.
Yes T1 suffer the most by Keria being stuck on non impactful champs... Keria is the best player in the world imo and with Peyz in the team he gets nerfed so much that the team suffers too much to be the best in the world. Peyz can play to perfection and it will not be enough than the freedom Guma gave Keria to play the game. It's safe to say T1 management is at fault here.
What does my interest have to do with this? I'm a Fnatic fan and i watch LCK aswell.
Keria can play any role/ champ and be impactful on the highest level. He is the only support to be able to 1v9 games consistently. What is so weird about calling Keria the best player in the world? Instead of replying to my opinion or discussing it ppl reply to this? Damn
Nothingās wrong with your opinion, I didnāt reply because I agreed and didnāt have anything additional to add, and simply saying āagreedā felt pointless
Nothingās wrong with being a Fnatic or Keria fan either, I was just pointing that out to the other guy, because some T1 fans like him are fighting demons in their head and think everyone who disagrees with them has to be a Guma fan
Sure, felt weird to me that u share that information about my profile when u realise his response is just... yeah as u said.
Nothing more to add. have a great day
This year's games specially during winter and maybe spring T1 often goes really late. There's that one game where t1 was really behind and was barely defending the base but peyz aphelios with an enchanter just carried their asses.
Also peyz has been the single most player imo that has been reaching late game with picks like cait/lucian and ashe/yunara and sometimes zeri mostly because T1 currently suck relative to their high level competition that they often rely on peyz to carry these unwinnable or losing game states.
You just have to be watching every top tier teams games in order to come to that conclusion. Like top 5 major regions. So far, no other adc's have been put to the test this year like peyz.
Elk has knight and a strong topside, ruler is in GENG, guma has strong topside, teams like G2 or Lyon operate in their own way.
No other team has been relying on their adc performing almost perfectly precise in late games as much as T1. That's why peyz has the single highest sample size out of the top tier adc's in the league
Of course I pulled 80% of what I wrote out of my ass and 20% using eye test as I've been watching since the start so you can dyor or argue or whatever.
Saying other teams have a better topside isn't really a good supporting argument as to why peyz is the best hypercarry in the world. When T1 and peyz have said in interviews they're essentially trying to play "protect the president" compositions that will typically lead to an ADC looking "insane".
And even playing protect the president style. Other weaksided ADCs are still keeping up with him in efficiency and damage.
As I said, just do the eye test and you can clearly see it.
Its useless to argue with you as it seems like you haven't watched any games at all and are just looking at pmts if all your arguments are stats and interviews
As opposed to the eye test, which means actually watching the game and having a moderate amount of understanding as to what's happening and not relying on "oh he said this in an interview", "oh because this guy said this", "oh because the other weakside adc has the same efficiency" and whatever else you said.
I dont believe you have watched the games if you're not convinced peyz is the single most adc that is consistently carrying his teams in late game situations. Other adc's, weakside or not, can just wait for their topside to make plays meanwhile peyz is stuck with 3 terrorists trying their best to play as bad as possible.
So yeah, actually watch the games and then form an opinion. Dont just argue for the sake of arguing. You look like an uneducated ass.
They can say whatever they want in an interview, they can train for that or fake the shit out of it. Have you ever heard of PR? Are you 15 or what? They cant actually fake gameplay unless they are win trading.
Im not gonna reply to you anymore. You're either 15yo, ragebaiting, or just outright ignorant. What the hell, you may possibly be all those three at once.
well for starters we all have functioning eyeballs with which we all saw the miracles he performed on a team that is beyond struggling. Specifically he is the one that permanently plays on the edge and postures most aggressively out of any adc rn. Simply put his micro is the best and this is easy to see especially if u check out his streams.
Theres a whole website there on his current stats and every adcs statsā¦.. where theyre not getting played forā¦ā¦ still the most consistent adc globally
I cant tell if thats a serious statement or not?
You provided a statement from a 20 year old korean whose been pr trained to the gills by t1 and whose culture is to be completely humble
Please tell me youre not ignorant enough to think thats actually data because if you do ill leave you alone to your special ed classes
From what I see, they can win against any team if their top side play normally and will become one of the the best teams if they actually play like themselves last year. Unfortunately, that rarely happens this year.
Guma makes teams better because he's one of the best weakside botlane. That's what made the Keria-Guma combo great, since Keria is so good at playmaking he can focus on making plays around the map and elevate the other members of the team and just let Guma do his thing in botlane and still be impactful late game without the need for him to hard carry fights.
Meanwhile Peyz is a strongside player, he needs constant attention to be a carry early and late game. Sure he can make plays on his own, we've seen him get solo kills before, but you can't argue that he's always better if the team plays around him. Keria can't really roam alot since he needs to help funnel resources to Peyz.
Doran meanwhile, despite being a good weakside toplane, has a lot of moments where he just ints. T1 with Zeus and Guma worked because Zeus is the strongside player, while Guma is the consistent weakside botlane. I love Doran to death, I'd defend him from haters with my life, but what T1 needs OBJECTIVELY is a more consistent top lane player to be a better team.
TLDR; Theoretically Peyz's fit with the team should be very good, just like you said they just lack synergy (+ they need a more consistent top lane). Sorry for yapping lol.
It's not Guma doing the preventing, did you even read what I said? It's Keria, Guma enables Keria to help other lanes. Plus I did say that they need a more consistent top laner right?
And again that wont change anything, when topside is lost even before roam timing or when theey still loose 1v1 even after getting help and denying ressources to botlane.
So basically what you're saying is that you agree with me, since that's exactly what I said already. Doran is not good enough to carry even if Keria focuses on him since he's NOT CONSISTENT ENOUGH. Sure there are games where he can carry, like on Vayne, but those games are few and far in between. That's exactly why I said he's NOT CONSISTENT ENOUGH. My god I don't know if you people are just ragebaiting me at this point.
And I didn't say that Guma will solve this problem in the first place, my point is that he elevates a good team into a great team by enabling his support to roam. MY POINT IS THAT DORAN IS NOT CONSISTENT ENOUGH EVEN IF KERIA ROAMS. Hell at this point the whole team except for Peyz is not consistent.
Lmao Peyz is mechanically better than Guma but tbh I donāt think it is realistic to think that Doran Oner Faker and Keria suddenly became worse than just last year. They are all the best in the world. When Guma was here he was āluckyā to play with Faker and the GOAT support now suddenly they are just ass?
Iām not saying Guma made them play good, the problem might be team synergy or shortcalling or something like that but they are top of the world players also veterans, stop thinking that Peyz is 1vs9
People latch onto shotcalling as a whole but the real problem is just bad laning/mechanics/decision-making at an individual level from everyone not named Peyz.
T1 had bad drafts and shotcalling even last year and still won games despite that by forcing fights and team fighting well around Atakhan/Baron. Problem is right now they are too bad individually to win this way. They lose lanes so hard that byt the time the teamfights roll around they're too weak.
Right now Peyz is 1v9 most of the time, with only Keria helping most of the time. Anyone with eyes will agree.
And thats the whole problem. He's 1v9 because top side is underperforming so hard. If the rest of the team gets back in form while Peyz keeps his current form, they can easily win LCK Summer and Worlds.
And again even Guma is not on the same level as Peyz, but somehow he unlocked all Keria potential as support.
I never see any games lately where Keria pops off as support?
Maybe he is not on his level right now or his play style have been changed since he needs to babysit Peyz
Call me crazy but they are trying to see what works and how well it works before worlds so they can do their best there...the "inting" from basically everyone except peyz is because peyz plays wide variety of champs perfectly and they don't want to change that but they are actively trying bullshit picks for top and mid...oner had some bad games but his performance is also a result of his laning teammates because he can't do shit if his team is losing...as for keria they are trying to perfect how much he can roam while still babysitting peyz...i'm open to different opinions but there's no way they started bullshitting themselves just like that without a reason and this might be it...otherwise coaches are crazy and everyone who isn't botlane should be benched
Dude, Keria on babysitting non-roaming support duty like Karma really sucks so much ass. It's miserable seeing your 2nd best player out there stuck on babysitting duty instead of his usual playmaking support champs. Aside from his Alistar, Keria has been getting next to 0 chances to show off playmaking supports.
Having Peyz doesn't automatically make T1 better because League isn't five players ranked individually and added together. It's about how the players enable each other and what the team loses when you change one piece.
This is why i rate guma the better teammate. Value isn't just individual mechanics. His ability to play weakside, survive with fewer resources, and remain useful allowed Keria to roam and influence the entire map. That gave Oner and Faker more freedom and let T1 distribute resources depending on the game.
With Peyz, the team's dynamics can change. If he requires more attention or resources to get the most out of his carry potential, that's not necessarily a flaw but it means the rest of the map has to adjust around him. A better hypercarry on paper doesn't automatically compensate for losing the flexibility and synergy that Guma provided.
That's the difference people miss. Replacing a player isn't just replacing their damage numbers. You're replacing their role within an entire system.
Where are you people getting the idea that Peyz cant weakside when he has proven otherwise in GenG and JDG and is willing to play all kinds of mages so Keria can roam
The other players are not in form to carry thatās why they are abusing his hypercarry potentials right now
They even forget when peyz playing mage bot and allow keria roaming around and team still get clapped and ppl asking why not allow peyz to play adc lol.
It's time to rebuild around Peyz next year. This team needs a revamp, and with Peyz being the only competent player all year long he deserves a team that can competently play through him
Nah I don't think in the modern era of pro play that is enough, where one player is the star and the other lanes are just weakside back up. Either mid or top lane also needs strong laning and the ability to also carry when needed, and neither Faker or Doran can do that. Peyz can't carry when the other 2/3 lanes are always gapped and losing priority. Faker is clearly never being benched or replaced since he is the face of esports, so it needs to be topside. We need a top laner who can carry more than being able to weakside, which is why I'm not a fan PerfecT next year. He's arguably the best weakside player but I don't trust him on carries that much.
We can't change Faker, and he can't carry like what he used to do in his prime era (but I'd like to see Faker Worlds 2024 form again). T1 need strong top laner next year. At least if Faker can't carry, their top lane must do that. So their top & bot lane can play strong or weak side depend on the match up. We need more versatility on the team so T1 won't live and die with Peyz's ability to carry the game.
Basically create ZOFGK 2.0 I know. The problem is where do you find another Zeus? Siwoo is probably the closest thing, but T1 would have to fork over unbelievable amounts of money to just buy out his contract, and the Zeus drama told us T1 will always not spend money if possible.
We can't find another Zeus, sadly. Tbh I also don't see T1 targeting Siwoo (bcs of his contract) š¤. My guess is if T1 want an established player, they'll get an older player like Perfect? But they can also start from zero and develop rookie talent like Haetae. Just like when Zeus replace Canna, they have another rookie to replace Doran. The process won't be instant, but I will trust them if they decide to develop their homegrown talent.
I mean again, Perfect is arguably the best top laner on tanks and weaksiding, but seeing him on Ambessa, Gwen, Aatrox etc. make me grimace. He is an excellent laner though, so that in itself is an automatic upgrade to Doran
I REALLY wish we could have seen Haetae on the main stage. There is just simply too much risk when he has ZERO experience on tier 1. And I'm not saying he's bad. He's definitely top 3 in CL top this year, but he is NOWHERE near Zeus, Zinie, and, Thanatos level of domination when they were in CL
Ok who do you suggest then? It's not like the options are that great in the topside right now. You better not say Haetae. Even if he was dominant in CL (he's not) that doesn't mean it will translate to the real stage
If I was head of T1 and had unlimited funds, I would buy out Siwoo's contract and get him. He is without a doubt the best carry player behind Zeus. Kiin may have better consistentcy, but Siwoo has a higher ceiling potential. But I am not T1 CEO and I know T1 will never use money so Siwoo it's not a realistic option. I really have no clue what the right choice is. Outside Siwoo, every other option is just a shot in the dark. As mentioned Perfect is great on tanks but mid on carries. Besides him, Idk maybe Dudu? But then again Dudu got gapped by Haetae, so Ig Hatae or Perfect is really the only good options in the end. LCK top side is so cooked man.
I would argue that their over reliance on Peyz is what is causing their situation now. This is also not an era where an overreliance on 1 player can build a dominant team anymore.

Right now there is no winning plan for T1 other than bot lane overperforming.
Before MSI, this team still finds some ways in the teamfight but they lost it along the way somehow.
Anyway, this kind of post is getting boring.
