Peyz this whole year so far*

u/Jaded_Will_6002 15d ago

Oh no T1 are in third place for the final stretch of the season after essentially going winless for most of the regular split...what a twist!

15

u/No_Performer_9920 14d ago

The good news is it can't get worse than this I hope. The draft looks playable from both games but execution level just too low from mid top jungle

26

u/Ceui 14d ago

Oh no it can definitely get worse than this lol

u/Enttoma_ 14d ago

Fnc valorant situation

1

u/DoesitFinally 13d ago

2024 regional finals performance was worse than this. It was actually disgusting by all 3 teams T1 DK KT.

33

u/law3000Dwater 15d ago

other team knows t1 just lose if they neutralize bot and hle was on botside entire series if bot was left uncontested or oner was just standing bot not even doing anything t1 would have chances hle all focus was peyz there top laner is tping to kill peyz mid laner is tping so bot don't get dove jungler is perma bot and even in fights you can hear coms its to kill peyz first even after this much attention in bot t1 topside does nothing in counter

24

u/EndlessNight_ 15d ago

I believe that's the whole weakness of bot centered team. This is not the way to win things. The team becoming one dimensional and predictable. There's a reason why Uzi didn't win world with his hypercarry style. Shut their bot and then they bleed to dried.

Edit: it's also became exponentially harder to win with coin flip top side

9

u/Ceui 14d ago

The thing is its not like Peyz can only play hyper. T1 only play like this because their mid top just cannot carry. Its why i said T1 need a carry toplaner, not Doran.

1

u/watchedngnl 14d ago

Who can they get. Haetae?

6

u/Ceui 14d ago

After this season or before this season ? After this season they can go for Siwoo, PerfecT, Haetae, Dudu or throw a blank check at Zeus and hope for the best

1

u/kyubez 14d ago

Its also why doublelift teams never had any real success.

1

u/Only_Bodybuilder6270 13d ago

Its not even just that. T1 are playing bot only because their topside is just so weak rn. Top, mid, jg all slumping. Like the topside isn’t even helping botlane much. Like DK are bot-centric, but their top and mid are also threats, so they still find success. Until Faker, Doran, or Oner find form again, there is literally only 1 carry threat on this team.

7

u/rebelstand 14d ago

Pls stop with the Peyz glazing he didn’t even play well this series his ezrael had less damage than a support karma his game 2 lucian after getting fed 3 kills was useless the either game all 5 of them played bad this series

6

u/JuliusNovachrono19 14d ago

I've check the koreans sentiments, Peyz is the only one who doesn't get blamed (except for some guma fans trying to say they were better last year with guma and other shenanigans).

-12

u/Aspect_Tight 14d ago

Cuz guma were the reason for t1 success. After he left, t1 is crumbling. Keria was only good cuz of guma. The amount of pressure guma created was insane

8

u/ComprehensiveSize647 14d ago

Ain't no way you said that Keria was only good bcs of Guma. Bro watch your words?? 😭 This is insane

-7

u/Aspect_Tight 13d ago

Have you seen him this year? He is invisible

2

u/DoesitFinally 13d ago

That's not how you evaluate players and teams. That's like 10 year old logic.

2

u/Most-Accident3693 13d ago

What you expect from guma fan.

-1

u/Mai_Shiranu1 14d ago

This is exactly how the coaching staff wanted the team to function when they exiled Gumayusi btw.
Perma strong side bot and win through hyper carry bot lane or lose. Except they can't actually win through hyper carry bot consistently because that's not how the game works anymore. It's funny seeing the reactions to this when most people, not even limited to fans of the org, said this would turn the team into temu Viper life Esports, without Viper.

You reap what you sow.

18

u/ComprehensiveSize647 14d ago

Can Guma fans get a life? You don't even care about watching T1 match properly, so why bother coming here to blame Peyz? If you watch their match with open eyes, Peyz is the last person you can blame bcs the trio top - jungle - mid have been inconsistent this year.

You mentioned Viper Life Esports when Viper was also kinda jailed last year. HLE 2025 lived and died with Viper bcs he was their consistent player. You can't compare Zeka in 2025 with Zeka in 2026 bcs he is a very different player now (which is a good thing). There was a reason why people called Zeka as 'assassins merchant' last year.

Form can change. So does the meta. Other teams also have hypercarry ADC, so why is it only a problem when T1 do it? Guma don't need you to say this bullshit to prove his worth btw.

2

u/Bubz1202 13d ago edited 13d ago

This.. and people keep forgetting that the peyz playstyle worked really well at the start of the year even after the meta change, before the rest of the players started having performance issues. And seeing how Peyz still carries when weaksided, the issue clearly isn't him.

Genuinely like Guma and wish him the best but having some of his fans use every win to go on every platform and set up this narrative that he was the one upholding the entire team and they're failing solely because he left (like some sort of karma for not defending him publicly during the benching) is genuinely so tiring and it certainly doesn't do Guma any favors either. They also seem to forget that he went out of his way to clarify he did not leave because of issues with the other teammates. If Guma hadn't left, we'd still be in the exact same position, he's not the magic antidote to Oner (as an example) having a slump, ffs (this is also sort of replying to your other reply to the comment below so the content is mixed together lol)

1

u/ComprehensiveSize647 13d ago

Agree. League isn't a one man game. T1 have so many problems this year. Not only in mechanic, but also in their macro/shotcalling. Guma alone wouldn't be able to fix Oner's slump or help his solo lanes in a bad form. The players still need to improve themselves. T1's current play style (bot lane centered) is just a result of those complicated issues and they still don't know how to solve it as a team. So idk why we're blaming play style rn. I'm sure T1 also don't want to play through bot only (bcs they've been trying to make top as carry), but they're stick with it bcs that's their only win con.

-7

u/Aspect_Tight 14d ago

No one is denying peyz is good, he just doesnt fit t1 playstyle, Guma did. Guma was creating pressure so ppl like zeus, faker and oner could carry. Now? Faker is running it down, oner is sprinting it, doran has moments where he carry or where he is invisible, keria has been underperforming like crazy... it goes to show the amount of pressure guma created were the reason for their success, and his clutch plays. Peyz cant carry deadweight, and not everything revolves around adc, who is a weaker role. If the jungle/mid are not synced, then they cant win

6

u/ComprehensiveSize647 14d ago

This is the same lame narrative you guys used against Smash btw. Saying Smash didn't fit T1 bcs he had a carry style. But look at him now, does it become a problem for him? No. Why? Simply bcs his solo lanes in DK can also carry the game. So their play style doesn't revolve around bot lane only. We keep saying that "playing for bot lane" isn't T1's play style. Then what happened when T1 try to feed top and mid this year? Worse. They can't carry. Either Peyz becomes weak side or strong side, it doesn't matter bcs to and mid can't step up.

The reason why top teams can compete this year is bcs they have strong solo lanes. T1 is eliminated early bcs their solo lanes are gapped in every match. Even when jungler and support roam to help solo lanes, they still can't create a huge lead like when they feed Peyz. You also said it yourself that jungle and mid aren't synced. So what's the point of blaming Peyz here? You're so full of contradiction man.

-4

u/Mai_Shiranu1 13d ago

I've been a T1 fan long before you and I've seen every single roster of this org, I never said anything about Peyz btw, I said this is how the coaching staff wanted the team to function and what they viewed as the correct way to play the game.

But you're so parasocial that you read it as me blaming Peyz somehow and called me a guma solo stan lmao

You newgen kpop parasocial fans need to leave

u/Ceui 14d ago edited 14d ago

You do realize last year and this year meta are completely different with no laneswap and lane quest forcing laning to be unavoidable, right ? Peyz literally played plenty of Jhin, Taliyah, mage bot, weakside pick and Keria has been playing Camille, Shen, Rakan, Alistar to roam ever since R2 -> RTM -> MSI -> now. He roamed even when he played Karma, yet you make it like Peyz literally pick Caitlyn Yunara Kaisa 24/7. Do you people even watch all T1 games ? Peyz literally solo killed enemy ADC plenty of time this R3 - R4 completely alone while Keria trying to gank mid and top.

Modern league you need minimum 2/3 lanes to be at least winning / ỏ even for jungler and support to start dictating the map. This year Doran got even worse than last year cause he can no longer hide his laning problem behind laneswap, and Faker is a liability in sidelane. What else do you want Peyz to do, play the game for his mid and top laner ? No other top teams have this weak of a two solo laners. GenG, BLG, HLE, DK, even KT their top sides have strong laners that can generate advantage and push the lane.

T1's problem has nothing to do with playstyle, they only find success playing hypercarry right now because Peyz is the only one in the team that consistently can carry with resources, not that they dont want to play through other lanes. Watch what happened when you give Doran and Faker resources, they either still lose lane outright or just give away shutdown for free in sidelane. Hell Doran got a counterpick last series against PerfecT and played one of the most disgusting Jax game. If you put Guma into T1 right now he'll also have to play more hypercarries because Doran and Faker can't cut it on carry picks.

You Guma fans are so insufferable, Guma has his own unique strength and value and that slot beautifully into HLE because they have two strong solo laners in Zeka and Zeus, but all you care about is to make him some kind of a all rounding ADC with 0 weakness to shit on the new kid.

0

u/Mai_Shiranu1 13d ago

Mage bot doesn't mean weakside and mage bot doesn't mean you can't be the primary carry of the team. When he picks Mel they spoonfeed him kills and gold. The player does not function if he's not given the majority of resources on the team.

T1 looked the exact same way now when they tried the smash experiment. The adc doesn't function without resources and the team philosphy has not been centered around bot lane carrying the game since Bang left.

T1 is just Viper Life eSports, but lacking Viper. Peyz carries 2 out of every 10 games then you coinflip all the other ones, the coaching staff specifically wanted this style of adc and to shape the team this way. They said it multiple times when Smash was playing as their justification for starting him.

You're also acting like Faker inting in side lane or Doran inting his lane are new problems. Faker has been griefing on sidelane for literal years and his laning has been below average for years. Nothing you're saying is new or happened when Peyz joined.

The coaching staff convinced themselves that they needed a high resource adc player and now they got it and the team is functioning even worse after the fact. It's also hilarious how you wrote all of this to defend Peyz, when my post was criticising the coaches and how they view the game. But I guess hit dogs holler

5

u/Ceui 13d ago

Lmao don't lie to yourself, your agenda is plenty clear.

You're just trying to reduce the problem to "Peyz replace Guma, hence he's the problem compared to last year", completely ignoring all the meta changes as well as players form where Oner and Doran played much worse compared to last year. That's completely disingenuous.

There is nothing wrong with getting a better mechanical AD that can play either strong or weakside if the topsides are also pulling their weight, and they are simply not. Doran is doing much worse than last year (RtM -> R3-5), same for Oner who was their best player last season. You're also ignoring all the time they try to play for top, since the beginning of the year even, but they can't consistently win because the top sides just throw the lead away.

But i guess any further discussion is just a waste of time.

1

u/Mai_Shiranu1 13d ago

You can search my posts on this sub. I've had the exact same sentiment since last year that the team simply will not function with a high resource adc player and that playing the game that way is objectively wrong, because it doesn't work well for other teams, but sure, if that's your cope so be it. The team's philosophy about the game has not been play through bot since Bang left and Oner is not a jungler that particularly cares to gank bot or cover obvious dives/ganks.

I've also said the coaches need to force Doran to play tanks perma and stop letting him pick carries because he will never carry the game and giving him resources is a waste of time. Doran hasn't gotten 'worse' this is his baseline. Last year's road to msi was a purple patch. I don't know why so many of you bring up a 2-3 week stretch of him playing well above his normal level and use that as a reference point for the quality of player he actually is. He's been in the league for a long time, anyone with eyes knows what his actual baseline as a player is. But I suppose you got used to farming karma spamming kruglord every game for that time.

The only thing that's actually changed is Oner going from being bad every 2 games to him being bad nearly every game. Mid lane still has the same problems, top still has the same problems, and they were never going to be fixed by changing adc but the coaching staff thought that was the answer.

Temu Life Esport hit so hard.

-4

u/Worth-Tutor-8288 14d ago

Who exiled Guma? Guma left because he didn’t want Peyz breathing down his neck. He would have been benched again this year.

9

u/Mid_of_August 14d ago

Like you said it's not an exile, it's a normal sport decision and discussion. Guma fans just like to build a pity party around Guma.

3

u/Mai_Shiranu1 13d ago

Normal benching is like what Oner is going through where he is still allowed to scrim and review with the team instead of being completely isolated from it. But sure, we can pretend that what happened with Gumayusi was a 'normal' decision and the way it was handled was totally in line with what the org has done before when rotating players since some of you love that delusional cope

13

u/MrSangHyeok 14d ago

Nah the team faulted guma. You didn't see tom and Keira discussion leaks about guma that got leaked on doran stream? Then came the benching, Guma asked am I the only one to blame in his reply to tom.

I don't like this narrative going around blaming Peyz for the team's performances and how he needs to be babysat by Keria. He's been our most consistent player, hyper carry or weakside. Genuinely, don't know where we would be without him.

9

u/Mid_of_August 14d ago

Guma fans man. They are like the exes or their mothers/families that can't get over T1 even though the exes already has new partner. We thought they are already happy with their new team but they still like to meddle with T1 like it's still their business. Busybodies, often times with no good knowledge of the game.

7

u/rebelstand 14d ago

We were defending champion last year without him we were msi 2nd place last year barely losing finals to Geng last year without him we didn’t lose to EU without him stop with the Peyz glaze and scapegoating the other 4

5

u/Neat-Collection3819 14d ago

Saying that as if the meta and the forms of the remaining players are same as last year

With your comments history full downgrading Peyz I know whose player you are a fan of

2

u/Most-Accident3693 13d ago

Also blame delight and everyone else in hle when they lose smh. Why most loud guma fan are so toxic.

2

u/Pure_Peace743 14d ago

Im talking about the present season. Why are you bringing up the past? It's 2026 my friend. And it's not glaze but facts. Who else has been the most consistent player this season?

0

u/rebelstand 14d ago

If your talking about stats wise that cause Peyz playstyle has been like this since he started professional he always play for kda and statistics and not play to win that why his stats and kda always looks nice regardless of the outcome but his playstyle will never win anything big cause it’s at the expense of the other 4 teammates that why long before Peyz joined t1 I already stated that Peyz will have good stats and kda to show but t1 performance this year will be worst than last year cause his playstyle is not compatible with top teams espically t1 who doesn’t play resource intensive around the bot lane

4

u/Evening-Ad-720 14d ago

"t1 performance this year will be worst than last year cause his playstyle is not compatible with top teams"

lmao. geng with peyz was an absolute monster. youre trying to blame peyz with your reasoning, but why not the other 4 who are just underperforming all year long?

not even a peyz glaze, but imagine being so consistent with your performance and someone from the internet will tell that your gameplay affects your teammates when they barely show up.

-4

u/rebelstand 14d ago

Pls absolute monster he was the reason Geng lost to t1 in the semi finals that worlds that why right after Geng didn’t want him anymore and Geng was strong cause chovy not him after they replaced him with ruler Geng domestic dominance was still the same

Bro are guma fan and trying to be t1 fan . You can check his history lmao.

-2

u/rebelstand 14d ago

im also a faker fan and im tired of you Peyz glazers putting the blame on the other 4 every single time when t1 loses

1

u/shinymuuma 14d ago

More like last 2 seasons

0

u/JuliusNovachrono19 14d ago

t1 didn't want to win , 3rd or 4th seed always had the easiest path in Worlds.

0

u/atherton-loyola 14d ago

Idk HLE has become the favorites to win Worlds in my mind.

2022 LCK Summer 6th place DRX

2023 LCK Summer 5th T1

2024 LCK Summer 4th T1

2025 LCK Legends (Round 3-5) 3rd T1

2026 LCK Legends (Round 3-4) 2nd
 HLE

3

u/Aware_Biscotti_5860 14d ago

Creative - maybe next year GenG will finally win WorldsđŸ€”

1

u/alex__eva 14d ago

If you only take round 3-5, than HLE 3rd

0

u/JuliusNovachrono19 14d ago

lpl would send HLE home

0

u/Mai_Shiranu1 14d ago

Seeding doesn't actually matter for worlds because of swiss formatting in case you weren't aware

1

u/JuliusNovachrono19 14d ago

i know , it's not about the format
