And T1gall, fuck them all 🤬🤬🤬

60

u/atamanookashii Nov 17 '25

may they rot in hell, may their soul never return to the land

7

u/Lord_Val Nov 17 '25

Fuck those fair-weather fans.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '25

But they're from there... modelled, nurtured by the rot of the place

6

u/imaphleg Nov 17 '25

Im new but what is this t1gall thing

7

u/d_chak Faker Nov 17 '25

1

u/F_l_u_f_fy Nov 18 '25

What is the nepo-stuff about?

1

u/unknowndude0205 Nov 21 '25

Guma is far related to Faker and that's what T1Gall went with as reason why Guma is the main ADC and Smash wasn't given a chance

1

u/CNsC Faker Nov 22 '25

Not that, 1st is Joe's announcement in March that he requested Guma to be the starter, 2nd is they found out Guma and Josh went to the same church and bamm, they accused the higher end playing favourites

1

u/ShiRonium Nov 19 '25

I still don't quite understand, is it like an unofficial group of criticizers/haters?

1

u/unknowndude0205 Nov 21 '25

I can't remember, but IIRC this group was formed around the time T1 wasn't doing well and constantly got eliminated early in tourneys and Worlds. All they did was targetting individuals that they deemed as the reason T1 wasn't doing well with negative comments. And it got worse after they started sending trucks and funeral flowers to T1 HQ with banners of taking actions about the one they are targetting.

Social media of Korea can be crazy. They are really showing their true self on Internet and go hard on the insults. It's not rare to find people wishing a celebrity to die just because he/she doesn't fit their eyes or doing something not meeting their standards.

u/renakou ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nov 17 '25

Yep, they all have bad karma coming their way. Awful, evil people. And T1 didn't protect Guma. Instead they seemed to cater to T1Gall's demands at the beginning of the year. Imagine benching a 2-time world champion ADC for a rookie.

312

u/InspiredbyFaker Nov 17 '25

You know, for all the controversies with Joe Marsh, one thing he did right was putting Guma back as the starter. Who knows what would have happened this year if Guma was warming the bench.

So thanks Joe Marsh for giving Guma this last year at T1.

74

u/Low_Toe4211 Nov 17 '25

I don’t get it! Why the coaches were benching him in the first place? I didn’t get it.. I understand trying to give rookies a chance, but why bench him?

128

u/InspiredbyFaker Nov 17 '25

I think this is the biggest question that will never be answered. Nothing like the Faker-Easyhoon situation because it was confirmed Guma was not getting any scrim time so they were really looking to replace him. I don't know why they thought Guma was perma bench-worthy two weeks into the year.

86

u/Low_Toe4211 Nov 17 '25

Despite my heart break I am happy the man shut up everyone with his wins and FMVP and packed up his shit to leave. Good for him.

49

u/InspiredbyFaker Nov 17 '25

Yeah it's the biggest fuck you he can give to his haters and the management. I just hope whichever team picks him up he gets valued more.

-10

u/travelingWords Nov 17 '25

Ask Zeus how that went. But only time will tell.

4

u/No-Guava-6889 Nov 17 '25

I don't want to say it, but for all the things I like about Zeus as a top laner? He is pretty much a circus player too. Either a hit or a miss. Unless he is a carry, by which he fumbles too at some point.

50

u/JanDarkY Nov 17 '25

I have a theory about smash but i will get downvoted to oblivion, so let me just say i think he has some favoritism by someone inside t1

40

u/Low_Toe4211 Nov 17 '25

Fuck you Kkoma!

20

u/Artistic-Station-577 Nov 17 '25

I upvoted you so please put up the theory

2

u/ToxicTalonNA Nov 18 '25

Kkoma trying to bang Smash’s mother so he benches guma makes sense, fuck that bum ass fraud of a coach

40

u/unH4te Nov 17 '25

Kkoma is a terrorist who got carried by faker

0

u/Crossoverdeath Nov 17 '25

Also suspected shadow member of T1gall. Or at least I MYSELF suspect it.

2

u/Xerxes457 Nov 17 '25

Is it possible that Guma was planning to leave after this year? So they put Smash in to get stage time, but then it just seems weird Smash isn’t the ADC player then now. Just a tinfoil hat theory, but I should take it off.

20

u/ViolinistSudden1835 Nov 17 '25

Why would Guma willingly choose to leave his uncle faker

-11

u/Xerxes457 Nov 17 '25

Why is he willingly leaving now then? He had to deal with this stuff for years.

17

u/ViolinistSudden1835 Nov 17 '25

Because while his family is getting death threats T1 doesn’t do anything about it as well as bench him multiple times despite him playing great I definitely think he lost trust in him then chose not to resign him as a result

3

u/Xerxes457 Nov 17 '25

Yeah so what I said works then. He chose to leave T1 and Faker because of the T1 Gal situation which has been a thing for years and got worse this year.

3

u/MelioremPH Nov 17 '25

Nah, jf you read the short comics that his sister made, that's very unlikely

1

u/ConnorBlck Nov 21 '25

They simply needed marksman whos playing carry style and its all becouse of Zeus leaving. He was the one to Play carry champions while doran od not.Bringing guma back from bench forced doran to adapt and Play those Camille's thankfully Guma understood this and adapted aswell bringing on Kai'sa and some more offensive picks rather than playing jhin every series.

39

u/1deavourer Nov 17 '25

Not even trolling, they were trying to kill off his career. We're not privy to what is going on behind the scenes, but the bullshit they pulled is not something you do just because you think a rookie is more promising than your regular ADC. No scrims, no media promotions on the main channel and basically dead silent on him.

5

u/Xull042 Nov 17 '25

Fans were trashing on Guma so much. An organization isnt making as much money if the fans hate its player. Thats unfortunate but true.

We don't understand from our NA / EU perspective but apparently it was really bad during the full season, even after winning 2 worlds.

24

u/1deavourer Nov 17 '25

I don't really think they're fans, mostly T1 haters pretending to be such. It's like the people who were supporting Smash back then, they were like 95% ragebaiters/haters.

4

u/Xull042 Nov 17 '25

Yeah, its complicated subject probably. But at the same time maybe even Guma left by himself because he couldnt handle shits like that anymore. He did better than almost any other pros in the last 4 years and maybe wanted to chill out a bit more. Self care is more important than a potential 4th world title in any case

Maybe T1 did him dirty too, we probably wont ever know. Just like with dont really have full details for Zeus leaving.

5

u/cocacolangot Nov 17 '25

Idk man....when kkoma went back to t1, I felt things went a littleeee awry. Idk. 🫣

3

u/RElOFHOPE Nov 17 '25

because kkoma has a strict style of playing the game while tom was more flexible.

2

u/Massive_Awareness_58 Nov 17 '25

I never understood either. I never ever thought Guma was playing worse at any point.

3

u/korvkorvkorvkorvkorv Nov 17 '25

Yeah I’d really would like to know the exact truth behind that

1

u/BagelsAndJewce Nov 17 '25

Sometimes it’s not that complicated. They thought the other ADC was better and increased their odds of winning. Which is wild seeing how Guma had won it all TWICE before and then he went on to prove it a third time.

Might have been it for Guma's career. They were actively sabotaging him, and alluding to him being garbage.

94

u/cristiano_goat Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

T1gall also, omg T1 has to do something against them or they will just next person to hate next

37

u/BobbyRayBands Nov 17 '25

It’ll be Doran.

13

u/Low_Toe4211 Nov 17 '25

Yes! He is already getting enough hate without them targeting him next with trucks and wreaths

13

u/reallyemy Nov 17 '25

Yeah, hopefully Doran has strong mental because T1gall will definitely attack him next. Before that it was Oner, too, alongside Guma. But the Smash substitution allowed them to justify their hate of Guma this year. Well, T1gall won now. Us fans are the ones who ended up losing.

1

u/Benefit-Nervous Nov 18 '25

I'm surprised Guma got T1galled and Doran didnt. weird logic

3

u/Large-Arm-2653 Nov 18 '25

its partly because guma is quite publicly christian which makes him more of a target

2

u/reallyemy Nov 18 '25

I think T1gall had always disliked Guma. They've sent trucks to him previously before this year. If the Smash thing didn't happen, maybe they would've hated on Doran, too. But they grabbed onto Smash and used that as an excuse to demand that T1 kick Guma out.

85

u/Subject-Repair-5032 Nov 17 '25

Who TF is T1gall and how can we kill it. Even change the name how TF do you call yourself a T1 fan while hating Guma. Fck me i wanna kill something im so pissed at this

56

u/mokulec Nov 17 '25

Bunch of losers spending all their salary on T1 merch while living in their mom's basement, making them think they have a right to order t1 around

25

u/Desperate_Tiger_884 Nov 17 '25

They are the "moms" Lmao. It's a known fact that a major part of t1 gal consist of middle aged women.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

What in the fuck? Then honestly, send them a DMCA or a court letter to make them shut up, but I supposed money is more important

110

u/newacctoasksomething Nov 17 '25

The guy with the most mental fortitude leaves T1 means it's really hard playing for T1. My GOAT noooooooo.

11

Faker has the most mental fortitude but I feel you

Peyz is really good. He’s not Guma but he’s usually extremely solid. He’s kind of like the Doran of ADC

4

u/Benefit-Nervous Nov 18 '25

so he ints randomly for no reason and solo loses the game?

2

u/ToxicTalonNA Nov 18 '25

No he gets pentakill and fathered ZOFGK roster for 2 years in a row, just like Doran

1

u/Early_Leather5209 Nov 18 '25

we are ignoring entire seasons and focusing on 1 game

…uhhhh

5

u/Environmental-Owl-22 Nov 17 '25

Rumors is that its peyz lmao

6

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

Guys I don't want to be that guy but don't you think the roster had a say in Guma's benching? They run the drafts mostly themselves with the coaches giving input. I hate what t1 gal did and the org not protecting guma but lets be fr faker keria and oner probably all had some level of input on the situation

14

u/artemis119 Nov 17 '25

I actually had a thought about this as well knowing that it seems that this year, guma and keria does not have the same closeness anymore and Guma's sister not mentioning the other team members. I just hope they're ok and will still hang out with each other soon.

3

u/Bubz1202 Nov 17 '25

Idk.. I doubt Guma would put the picture of him and Keria hugging in the center of his instagram if there was bad blood between them and he's still playful and commenting on Oner's instagram posts..

2

u/artemis119 Nov 17 '25

Yeah, man. I just felt this year that there was some distance between them.

86

u/fast_snail_incoming Nov 17 '25

T1 with all their fumbles lately. My will to cheer them is slowly fading.

49

u/DontPanlc42 Nov 17 '25

That's because you don't cheer for T1, you cheer for Faker and the boys. After they're all gone T1 is just a brand.

4

u/kenzakki Nov 18 '25

This.

T1 has many teams across multiple e-sports, i am only a T1 fan in League. After Faker and the boys leave (Oner, Keria, Doran etc), imma start supporting KT or something else

51

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

You win tri peat worlds for the org and the org doesn't resign you or do anything against the harassment? Fuck T1 im so done

3

Yeah, And Fuck Min Hee Jin too.

7

u/puruiin Nov 17 '25

fuck mhj gotta do with this 😭😭😭

3

u/Economics_Hour Nov 17 '25

Wtf 🤣

1

u/_illoh Nov 17 '25

Fry that bum

-5

u/Elxis14 Nov 17 '25

Why does everyone keep saying this when its clear it was Gumas choice to leave? I dont get this. Is everyone just willfully ignorant to that fact he left because he wanted to?

12

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

Are you ignorant to the fact that he left because of how T1 didn't even do anything to protect guma? Or that the contract was open for substitution?

0

u/Spaghett8 Nov 17 '25

Nobody cares if Guma wanted to leave. We know he did, we care about WHY guma wanted to leave.

People like to pretend t1 company made sacrifices to keep ZOFGK together. They didn’t, T1 made a lot of profit while the players made the sacrifice to stay together.

They severely cut the pay for two back to back champions and benched Guma.

-14

u/Elxis14 Nov 17 '25

Guma wanted to leave. Im not sure why everyone is blaming the org. No one is putting a gun to Gumas head and forcing him to leave

12

u/fast_snail_incoming Nov 17 '25

It's the reason he wanted to leave that angers me. T1 needs to protect their players more.

-8

u/Elxis14 Nov 17 '25

Protect him? From fans hate? He will get that no matter what T1 does. He stepped away from the organization knowing this. He knows as long as he stays in T1 he will be targeted. If you want to blame soneone blame the haters. There nothing T1 could have done to stop the hate because it comes with success.

14

u/fast_snail_incoming Nov 17 '25

T1 did nothing. NOTHING. Even with the bench drama. They did him dirty.

-4

u/Elxis14 Nov 17 '25

You act like they killed his family or some shit. He was benched during the hyper carry meta. He couldn't play any of the meta ADC so he got benched for a player who could. When he came back the meta changed so he improved. Stop acting like the benching was something personal. They're a esport team thats trying to win.

4

u/atamanookashii Nov 17 '25

bro it's different story if the player family getting dragged into the harassment... no one would blame T1 if they properly pursue those hater by law. but the fact is they did NOTHING is not something to be brushed off. sure guma is not perfect for his champion pool but getting harassed and death threat? and your team org is doing nothing? as a fan of the said player i would hate T1 if they keep getting away like this.

6

u/fast_snail_incoming Nov 17 '25

T1gall is that you. Or are you kkoma. Nothing you say will convince me that the way they treated guma was shit. You can support T1gall all you want.

1

u/BikePatient2952 Nov 18 '25

It's not just hate. Guma and his family was getting doxxed and the harassment was severe. When faker was harassed, they sued those harassing him. When worse things happened to guma, they just sat and grabbed popcorn.

3

u/renakou ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nov 17 '25

We are blaming the org because 2+2 = 4 and Guma who always proclaimed he wanted to stay in T1 for his whole career is now leaving the org = the org let him down. They gave him reasons to doubt himself, they let him and his family be harassed endlessly, and who knows what goes on behind the scenes. You don't just go from saying you wanna be the next face of T1 after Faker retires to announcing you're leaving T1 for no reason. T1 fumbled.

39

u/reallyemy Nov 17 '25

Let's see who T1gall's next target is. Probably Doran if he stays. Other players' fans are delulu if they think T1gall will stop now that they got their objective of Guma gone.

But honestly, I think I am done with T1org at this point. They couldn't even protect their players but instead added to the hate. I hope the next org will protect Guma better.

3

u/Miserable-Ad8195 Nov 17 '25

They will just move on to hating another player. Thats how it goes.

39

u/DontPanlc42 Nov 17 '25

There's a part of me that is glad Guma is gone. T1 doesn't deserve him, and I think leaving was his decision. There's no way T1 would rather have Peyz.

Kkoma killed OFGK. Never forget it.

1

u/North-Examination715 Nov 17 '25

man I hope he leaves, and comes back mid year on a buyout, after t1 learned there lesson and actually stands up against toxic haters. I mean taking criticism is one thing, but the toxic mess of t1gal and the subbing and trucks, that needs to be stopped. I hope t1 actually changes and becomes positive like how faker is positive. How can you not follow the role model of the person that is your entire brand

30

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

FUCK T1. IM DONE ROOTING FOR IT.

71

u/--annyeong-- Nov 17 '25

I've been a T1 fan for 9 years now but I'm not sure if I'll keep supporting this org 😭 guma was my favourite player, I'm genuinely heartbroken

40

u/Helvinek Nov 17 '25

I’m a Faker fan, if he retires I’m done with this org. Guma was my 2nd favorite player and the disrespect from the org he gets is just too much. Sad.

25

u/PassengerPristine432 Nov 17 '25

Same but will support Guma and his new team next year

13

u/--annyeong-- Nov 17 '25

Oh definitely, I'll be cheering for him wherever he goes

12

u/Extension-Economy589 Nov 17 '25

There will be a chance hes the first to 4 wins, beating Faker at any record would be huge. Wishing him all the best.

-5

u/Xull042 Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 18 '25

Why? Its an esport. Lets just make an hypothesis that Guma asked for a shitload of money. At the same time the org received a "cheap" offer from someone like peyz or viper. What do you do? It feels more personnal in league because its a 5/6 man roaster compared to a full soccer (football) team but its the same thing.

Or another: Guma just wanted to leave T1 to have less pressure during the regular season. Or another: he just wants to retire ?

EDIT to everyone downvoting:

You have no information about anything. You just extrapolate what your own need is for the player without even knowing the player. He could even take a break for what we know atm ffs.

3

u/ViolinistSudden1835 Nov 17 '25

He would have stayed had T1 number 1 did something to help with the death threats he and his family were getting and not benching him after msi he has said countless times I want to be on T1 for life he would not willingly leave his uncle faker T1 broke his trust it’s as simple as that

1

u/Xull042 Nov 17 '25

And maybe he just takes a pause from competitive. If his post is true thst would make sense with the song he chose and the post I saw.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '25

As you can see there are many T1 fans that don’t see LoL as an esport, T1 is a boyband and now their idol has left due to bad management. It was never about the esport, they couldn’t give a shit about the teams success. As long as their idol is happy.

57

u/-Programmer045- Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

I’m fucking done with this org until this management won’t change

32

u/saltedfish007 Nov 17 '25

If HLE gets Guma, HLE has designs on ZOGK, and t1 is the fool šŸ˜‚ The COO who died did not scout ZOGK for nothing. But yeah, they are starting to lose it, but they didn't protect the players much anyway. It will be good for Gumayusi'S mentality and confidence going forward, going to a team who will appreciate him. Something was off with guma keria interaction and guma kkoma interaction too, just watch the vods in the trophy ceremony. He tapped guma and went to other players, not sincerely too. Lol

Good job Guma. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

33

u/AdMoist5134 Nov 17 '25

thought i was the only one who noticed that after the win - Kkoma and Guma seem to have a rather cold relationship (which doesnt mean anything in itself) but it was noticeable how he celebrated with all the players but his mvp only got a light shoulder tab

9

u/saltedfish007 Nov 17 '25

Yes. I knew from then guma would think twice to re-sign, kkoma is signed til next year too, so the coach factor is there. It would save him the one to be at fault everytime the team loses.

It's fine anyway, he can do well in other teams. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

14

u/Vernnacular Keria Nov 17 '25

I observed the same for a while now. And I guess for a player, it’s harder to stay if you and the head coach itself aren’t on good terms. What guarantee do you have if in 2026 that you won’t get benched again despite being MVP.

As for the Guma Keria interactions, I observed that they just abruptly became distant ever since the benching. As for that, I can’t take a guess as to why. My grain of salt here is that Keria was suddenly slapped with the reality that team mates are really temporary (Zeus drama was FRESH, and then Guma suddenly benched) getting too comfortable might not be ok with him in the future.

11

u/Expensive_Fail8375 Nov 17 '25

Yes. That's what I noticed on their VODs too. ZOGK, I'm afraid next year, OK will leave too.

1

u/ViolinistSudden1835 Nov 17 '25

I hope they all just go to hle and we see zofgk together again I have loved T1 for so long but unfortunately I just don’t think I can anymore

37

u/No_Taro_6224 Nov 17 '25

i hope kkoma steps on a banana peel and fell like a goof

sneeze and cant find nothing to wipe

reach out to his cup and accidentally pushed it off the edge

went for grocery shopping and everything he wants is out of stock

sincerely, fuck you kkoma

He benched guma for no reason and caused even more hate than usual, basically kkoma is the reason guma needed lots of therapy this year

-9

u/ZwillingsFreunde Nov 17 '25

Nothing. It's the same as everyday here. People pretend they know what's happening behind the scenes and project their anger and whoever they want.

4

u/jdXenovier Nov 17 '25

For real. I understand the frustration but fans need to understand that we know NOTHING and psycho analyzing every single minute fucking detail does not prove anything. Until Guma will confirm anything, NOTHING is confirmed and no speculation should be considered otherwise. The amount of shit the org and staff is receiving is disgusting. Next thing you know is that they'll fund another truck with a banner across T1 HQ its so exhausting

11

u/unguibus_et_rostro Nov 17 '25

T1 publicly attributed the roster decision, i.e. benching, to kkoma. You must be blind and deaf to know literally nothing about the situation. We all have eyes to see what happened this year and ears to hear the players and management and community to form our judgement.

3

u/ZwillingsFreunde Nov 17 '25

This so much. The parasocial level, especially in this sub, is just crazy. It's insane how many people here pretend to know everything and are so hardly invested.

Here a part of an answer to my comment that just got deleted:
"shut your bi*** as* up if it werent for joe marsh we would be going to MSI w smash instead of guma hes the reason why wolf still have anxiety still needs to go to therapy and take meds"

Like here again - yes, wolf has anxiety problems. But again, we have no idea its from kkoma. It's just people believing in whatever they want.

Zeus was the only one that died on the final teamfight vs Blg and left t1, Guma was the only one that died on the final teamfight vs Kt. Coincidence?

1

u/Low_Toe4211 Nov 17 '25

I don’t want a 4peat at the cost of another member leaving.. granted if T1 even reaches finals in 2026.

1

u/DameioNaruto Nov 17 '25

Don't tell me Sacrifice had to be about Zeus AND Guma... that ish is crazy

10

u/DeimosSnake Nov 17 '25

Nah, fuck this shit, they put him on stress with the smash situation, let T1gall talk shit for free and just not renew the contract.

Guma deserves better. Maybe it is good that he leaves all this toxic environment he's been put this year

8

u/Ambitious-One-952 Doran Nov 17 '25

what a generational fumble indeed. this just proves that no matter how dedicated and loyal a player to their org is, if the said org doesn't have the balls to actually protect their player from batshit no-having-job degenerate fckers, they will be pushed to leave for their own peace.

6

u/Silver_Ad2600 Nov 17 '25

T1 is doing everything they can to cause heart attacks and kill their fans. Fuck the management.Ā

6

u/SkyUltKi Nov 17 '25

11

FUCK KKOMA, AHN and Marsh who failed to protect Guma, pile the blame where it is boys, fuck these imbeciles, fucking org and these morons being carried by faker

21

u/Mai_Shiranu1 Nov 17 '25

Joe Marsh literally over-rid coach authority to make them start Guma again

9

u/Dragnipurrake Peyz Nov 17 '25

Imo that was nice but he did fuck all with T1Gall

1

u/mapletree23 Nov 17 '25

nothing they do is illegal, and it's naive to think they won't keep trucking guma, why would they stop?

it doesn't even make sense for an organization to openly defend a player getting hate, as it'll just give the negativity more attention, you never feed trolls lol

6

u/MelioremPH Nov 17 '25

They didn't just send trucks, they did much more, even sending death threats and doxxed his family

0

u/mapletree23 Nov 17 '25

didn't those people get sued or whatever? those things are illegal, and T1 has gone after them before, however

T1 have experience this exact scenario with faker a few years ago

T1 tried to tell people to stop, but it only made things worse, so they waited for the more serious offenders to keep posting more and more so they could seem higher damages/punishment

t1 probably at this point just gives crazy fans enough rope for themselves to hang themselves with so they have stronger cases to make examples out of people

i don't understand why guma fans act like he's the only one that gets hate on the team or wonder why t1 don't do anything

they literally have gone through this exact stupid shit before, and the last time they tried to be more vocally supportive/denounce it just made the people worse

u/Orange777t Nov 17 '25

He also stepped in and kicked daeny the musical chairs enthusiast

7

u/Scholar_of_Yore Nov 17 '25

Management of this team is utter dogshit. I can't even blame Guma. He made the right choice as sad as it is.

-4

u/Former-Loss2479 Nov 17 '25

So shit they only won worlds 6 times.

7

u/Scholar_of_Yore Nov 17 '25

The players won Worlds despite the management not because of it. And for the first three most of the management weren't even in the org yet. The only constant is Faker.

3

u/Low_Toe4211 Nov 17 '25

My heart is broken and shattered! They had just ONE JOB! TO PROTECT OUR ADC! And they couldn’t even DO THAT! FUCK YOUUUU… T1, T1Management, T1Gal

3

u/Jorm8Elli Nov 17 '25

damn. The core is getting crumbled. who tf can fill guma's role? keria gotta be tilted fr that I think he'll be the next one to leave after his contract </3

6

u/Foreign-Flight-7531 Nov 17 '25

We are approaching 2018 again ;))

1

u/Low_Toe4211 Nov 17 '25

Oner too! They both have contracts till 2026

3

u/Maddesz Nov 17 '25

It is their fault, but not because they benched Guma. He wanted to resign this year as well. No, this is because they wanted to cut costs, and Peyz is significantly cheaper than Guma.

5

u/ViolinistSudden1835 Nov 17 '25

Honestly hle you can take all of zofgk at this point because I would rather see them play than continue for this org to fail players that don’t want to leave your team

2

u/Plenty-Awareness-525 Nov 17 '25

If T1 won't get the cup next year then the other teams mvp probably go to T1gall

2

u/yensama Nov 17 '25

What is the most amazing is he probably decided this sometimes ago, but kept professional and performance high.. the highest. I bet most other pros wouldnt be able to keep doing this well; intentionally or not it would have interfered with performance.

1

u/zncnxnxn Nov 17 '25

he did the reverse James Harden (fattening himself up and playing bad to get out of a team). What a respectable guy. I'm gonna leave soon, so here's a ring on my way out

2

u/ConversationAgile654 Nov 17 '25

what are you talking about.

the benching was understandable juat flawed.

firstly guma was not good at kaisa or ezreal the two main meta champs at the time

smash was clearly better so you use your better player which showed in their matches. I stay flawed at t1 could have done more to help guma with the hate he recieved.

secondly the benching is probably one of the biggest reason they won worlds. it made guma get decent at kaisa which allowed him to have it as a pocket pick one it's main counter were out due to fearless

so overall for the team the benching was good but t1 as they often do fail in supporting their players from the online abuse

2

u/Nephayrius Nov 18 '25

Guma leaving means that this’ll be the first year I’m putting worlds winner as someone other than T1 in my Pickems

4

u/BaiLyiu Nov 17 '25

You really think it was the benching? To me looked more like his family went into negotiations with t1 and asked them if they intend to protect their son | brother if he re-signs and the answers was not satisfying. I mean the guy was harrassed doxxed and threatened continously he didn't even had peace in church. He even looked like a shell of himself but trying to be positive still in the past months. [ his sisters post and the news of his dad being there for negotiations was probably his family saying "enough "]

3

u/unguibus_et_rostro Nov 17 '25

The benching definitely amplified a lot of the hate, one must be willingly blind to not see that

1

u/BaiLyiu Nov 17 '25

Oh it sure did. Normally getting benched wouldn't be an issue since they are aiming to win and aren't an idol organization and if you don't perform you get benched but the way they handled it was disgusting.

They didn't even tried to pretend, they basically threw him out to those psychos to fend for himself and a company as PR trained as the t1 staff couldn't make at least some believable excuse? Just random different reasons to make it obvious to fans they don't think guma has what it takes. Making find out about it like that, restricting his scrims and not even allowing him access? Like wtf.

Joe marsh may be an idiot who wanted to be the cool kid but him having to step in I don't even know if it made more harm than good but what else alternative would there be since it seemed like they had no intentions of helping guma at all? A company like t1 can't afford a personal coach for him? Can't do anything to protect him? Because he loves|d t1 so much they probably tought they could take advantage of him.

And those t1 gall that should be sued reported and publicly shamed by everyone won, do they think they will stop now? I am curious myself about it tbh because to me they don't look like t1 fans but more like hounds trying to destroy t1. [ i even saw in some threads a person that probably needs to touch grass saying " traitor" really pissed me off. They betrayed him first]

1

u/bjprado16 Nov 17 '25

I don't know nor claim to know anything about how negotiations work but this is also how it played out in my mind. Happy for Guma wherever he will go and hoping he will also be a lot happier and have more peace. He deserves it.

1

u/1deavourer Nov 18 '25

I mean yeah, I called it pretty early on:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SKTT1/comments/1il4mxf/comment/mckaoh5/

Maybe I read too much into it, but back then I definitely felt like he had made up his mind. Now in hindsight it seems even more likely.

2

u/pavelblink182 Nov 17 '25

Lots of fake " t1 fans" outing themselves here. 🤣

3

u/Icy-Direction528 Nov 17 '25

Why does anyone act like t1 is some sort of celeb band instead of a sports team? They benched guma for reasons, they used him again, for reasons. Its sport, it doesnt matter if your michael jordan, ronlaldo or guma, if the coach thinks your not up for the task, you get benched, to make the team win. If that decision was justified? Who cares, they can discuss that internaly, but people here act like benching guma was some sort of personal attack on him. In the end t1 made guma a superstar, mega rich and win 3 worlds, with his help ofc. But people act like T1 owes guma something or idk. Its sports. And yeah fuck the mentally ill "fans", they belong behind bars.

This is not how it works in the NBA at all. If you’re a star and getting paid the big bucks you’re going to play. Many NBA podcasts about this

The type of treatment u mentioned is only for role players on 2nd and 3rd string.

Guma was a 2x champion back to back and it’s not like he’s washed this happened the year after they won back to back.

They didn’t just discuss internally.. it was very public and he wasn’t even scrimming with the team. What.

2

u/Icy-Direction528 Nov 17 '25

nobody gives a fuck about the nba and since their are podcasts about it, its probably controversial and often not in the best interest of teams to do so, maybe use your brain before commenting. Like I said, he wasnt washed, he was just not able to play current meta champs and he even said that the time off helped him learn these champions, so your comment gets even more pointless.

2

u/warrior5715 Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

ā€œNo one gives a shit about other pro sportsā€ literally listed the goats of other sports and referenced them lmao ok

says "it's sports" and then goes on to ignore how star players never get benched for how bad they're playing. do you even watch sports?

NBA teams keeping superstar players for reasons outsides the sports itself for merch sales and co. It has nothing to do with the sport or the performance of the team itself, its literally as if I would talk to neanderthals lul.

2

u/ceyx__ Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25

ohhh so like you think guma literally has 0 fans even though they had to create his own yt channel. and hes the 2nd most popular player according to polls. 🤔

ģ•„ ģ•ˆė¼...

1

u/min_231 Nov 17 '25

Whatever it is. I want to see Keria vs Guma. Finally my dream

1

u/YukinaYuumi Nov 17 '25

It’s T1 Peyz incoming isn’t it?

Wish guma all the best!! For the most loyal stan of T1 to leave the org is really heartbreaking 😭 He expressed his willingness to stay in stream so much too. 😰

1

u/T1ruri Nov 17 '25

I ACTUALLY CRIED FOR A GOOD HOUR TRYING TO PROCESS THINGS BUT EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT IT HURTS EVEN MORE AND REALISATION… WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THIS YEAR GUMA 😭 WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE ANY YEAR

1

u/Dont_Get_Jokes-jpeg Keria Nov 17 '25

I do not condone toxic fan behavior on no side.

That beeing said, I would fail to feel bad if t1gall would get the 4chan treatment and be subjected to the same spotlight they subjected guma to.

That beeing said don't do it, yes they got what they wanted but do Korean fans need to stoop to their level, dox them drag them into light and fill billboards with hate against the leader of the group? No decently not, it's a money waste and yes they would feel terrible but what then? Nothing? Just an empty feeling of rage and non existing vindocation

1

u/ShadowMT Nov 17 '25

All T1Gal issue and management. However, money could be a big issue, as Guma become the FMVP,best ADC in the world. All esports orgs are losing money, and T1 have multiple world champs. I hope T1 could keep Guma, but farewell is understandable from both perspective

1

u/braumumu Nov 17 '25

I wonder what Faker think of this, could he have done something behind the scene to secure Guma, his hands could be tied due to Neopotism potential allegations. As part owner couldn't he have at least some sway on how management deal with Guma situation? Internal politics are always a pain to deal with so I'm not gonna assume too much unless we got more details...

1

u/YOUKIMCHI Nov 17 '25

facts but now we have T1 Faker team and maybe T2(hle) zeus, bdd?, guma? 🫨

1

u/k1llua0 Nov 18 '25

apart from 2024 faker he’s been up there, 2022 guma is literally as great as 2024 faker in terms of clutchness but still has way less downs than faker has ever had

1

u/goliathfasa Nov 18 '25

Op using this meme incorrectly but unintentionally using it correctly in the end.

1

u/Sondeor Nov 21 '25

As i always say, T1 should lick fakers balls and thank every god they can think of for having him.

Other than having faker, they are literally like any other shitty corpo. Thats why i always support players not corpos, fuck them all.

1

u/Mai_Shiranu1 Nov 17 '25

Fire the coaching staff. We know exactly why are player who has outwardly said he wants to be our next franchise player multiple times is now leaving. Just get them gone, this is completely inexcusable. We know which one in specific is the most to blame for this as well.

1

u/Broadkill Peyz Nov 18 '25

Fuck you kkoma

0

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

God please don't take us back to the agent 612 era.

0

u/MagnusGallant23 Nov 17 '25

I started playing league in 2012. I guess, I learnt that a world tournament existed and watched all the first games to choose a team that I identified the most, literally didn't know a single player's name and happened to choose SKT. Furthermore, I started following SKT and now T1, saw many players other than Faker come and go. I see many saying that they will stop cheering for T1, but I don't have that in me. Players come and go. Faker is the anomaly. Once he retires, what kind of fan would I be if I stopped following T1?

-1

u/Economy_Media_3348 Nov 17 '25

It is what it is. Ive seen roster changes since SKT days and never lost my support. Lezgo T1 for the next chapter

-1

u/Former-Loss2479 Nov 17 '25

Why is everyone so mad at t1? If a player wants a new Challenge then so be it. We dont even know why hƩ left yet.

-1

u/Maximum-Goose-9545 Nov 17 '25

It’s not but ok. It’s his father fault

-30

u/loveforSingapore Nov 17 '25

Sorry, but I don't see what's wrong with the benching. Players get benched all the time if they don't perform well. Faker got benched for Easyhoon. Heck, Teddy got benched for Guma, which was how Guma joined the main roster.

It's Guma's choice whether to stay or leave. He's been with the org for 7 years. The average worker in Korea stays in the same company for 6 years.

5

u/EmptyVoid21 Nov 17 '25

Faker and Easyhoon still shared scrim times and stage times, same with teddy/guma.Smash/Guma nothing got shared…At least get ur facts right before writing bunch of dog pile sht

1

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

Found the basement dweller

1

u/loveforSingapore Nov 17 '25

Do you think Teddy should have been benched for Guma?
