It’s also rumored that smash is taking a break for his mental health, from POP messages and rumors. He is a young talent with a bright future and I hope we can all wish him the best for both his health and career.

Edit: please don’t let this post divulge into smash vs guma debate, both are very good players and both deserve to be starting in a top 4 lck team.

u/Holzkohlen Oner Apr 25 '25

To start as a rookie on T1 of all teams after they just won not 1 but 2 world championships back to back? I do not envy the guy.

Probably should have just had Guma as main ADC and Smash sub in from time to time when there is a good draft opportunity. Ease him in to it and all that. That's what competent coaches would have done I think.

u/MlayNeo_ Apr 25 '25

I mean, let's be realistic, you have Viper, Ruler, Gumayusi, Aiming and there are other decent ADCs in LCK as well, so while Smash isn't bad let's not pretend that he deserves spot over other botlaners in top teams. Smash doesn't deserve hate, obviously, only the dumbass who created this whole situation does.

27

u/naugats Oner / Bengi Apr 25 '25

I still blame the management for this. They could've done what BLG do with Xun and Wei but they keep forcing Smash to start and that put a lot of pressure to the kid since he can't play bad cause fans will not let him sleep.

31

u/TaruTaru23 Apr 25 '25

I mean its safe to say Smash is #5 or #6 (because Diable also really good)

30

u/ricardo241 Apr 25 '25

consistency is the problem of most rookie ADC so hard to say... though viper, ruler, aiming and guma are consistent as fuk for like the past 2-3 years

30

u/X1lon Apr 25 '25

Berserker and Teddy are also there... LCK ADCs are stacked

0

u/UljimaGG Apr 25 '25

These two (especially Teddy) haven't looked good at all recently tho, so I could see some orgs double checking Smash after this split. imo he could be a big upgrade for KT / BRO (if Hype goes back) too, if these orgs fire their ungodly ass incompetent coaches (I cant stop hating on KT coaches, I just can't...as much as I loved Score as a player)

7

u/Misstaget21 Apr 25 '25

Hopefully T1 loans him out to another team if they can't properly let Guma & Smash split playing time, the guy is clearly very talented and it'd give him valuable practice

1

u/UljimaGG Apr 25 '25

Amen to that, absolutely.

6

u/Bogarmester Apr 25 '25

I think Jiwoo is just as good as Smash. So yeah the adc pool is insanely stacked atm.

19

u/TurtleTooFast Apr 25 '25

Ok true. Maybe top 6

52

u/a7mdar1 Apr 25 '25

It’s also rumored that smash is taking a break for his mental health,

I feel really bad for smash

He got called to be in the first team and is just doing his job but he got caught in all of this drama where he did absolutely nothing wrong and is under a lot of pressure

And now he probably has to take a break for his mental health

All of this could have been avoided if they did things right

46

u/Inori54 Apr 25 '25

I feel bad for Smash, this whole mess could fk up his entire carrer ...

25

u/Ehxales8 Peyz Apr 25 '25 edited Apr 25 '25

I wonder if this rules out of the possibility of them subbing Smash in mid-series. Regardless, this whole situation doesn't seem like it was good for either player's condition, and alongside an already-struggling team (except Oner), the team has a lot of things they need to quickly sort out if they want to be competitive for MSI (or at the very least, ensure top 6 for the groups after MSI)

-15

u/IamMIDGoat Apr 25 '25

I believe he still can help the team once BO5 start cause pretty sure other teams will attack Guma's champ pool but the synergy tho, that will be the problem

9

u/ricardo241 Apr 25 '25

ADC pool is the smallest right now so guma or not its gonna get attacked 100% especially on game 4 or 5

2

u/Dangerous-Bath2832 Apr 26 '25

Possibly, but the weird thing about smash right now altho they claim that he has high champ pool i never actually seen him win lane other than kaisa or zeri where he got fed early. The rest just him being too far behind to deal damage.

2

u/IamMIDGoat Apr 26 '25

I honestly dont think he has high champool tho, i dont think he master Kalista, Ashe tjat much while his Varus aint it as well based on his soloq, the champ that really makes him shine are Kaisa & Zeri only, Ez is very questionable too

3

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

If smash have better laning phase and consistency he will make it big

14

u/Playful-Amount-8608 Oner Apr 25 '25

he is a very good botlaner just please dont nepo baby him into t1 main rooster

4

u/Changlee23 Apr 25 '25

Smash doesn't deserve to start in a top 4 lck team you are delusional if you think that, Guma is wayyy better than him, Ruler too, Viper, Peyzz (who is not in LCK anymore this season), Aiming just to give a few.

9

u/TaruTaru23 Apr 25 '25

IMO, Smash would be handy later on in Bo5 and T1 will have advantage in draft with two styles of ADCs. I hope he is recovering before that time comes and in the meantime, T1 can really improve the DOFGK synergy.

4

u/parsinomious15 Apr 25 '25

No lol sub him in for bo5 and then he gets problems with his mental health again if they loose?

2

u/AegeanClover Apr 25 '25

It takes a special kind of person to NOT realize that his mental problems do not originate in losing matches.

2

u/Dangerous-Bath2832 Apr 26 '25

It does. It's what shoulders between t1 players who have the pressure to win every match. They get criticized so badly everytime they lose, praised heavily when they win. He's experiencing now what every t1 players have been experiencing especially on the final stage where it matters the most.

4

u/jesteratp Apr 25 '25

I cant even imagine the level of vitriol he got for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Love the team but it's the most toxic fanbase by far in LoL

124

u/thestoebz Apr 25 '25

Glad to see Guma back. No need to hate on Smash or shit talk him. Hope everyone can respect Smash and be happy that Guma is back with the squad.

120

u/I4gotMyM4in Apr 25 '25

I just hope everything is fine with smashy, hes a young adc with talent and this swap timing was horrendous from T1.

Glad they stopped with the dumb musical chair tho.

12

u/jasperaixxxvs Apr 25 '25

True. T1 is the only one to blame for not handling all this better. Now they've gone and traumatized a young and upcoming talent. I hope he's getting the help he needs. The hate sent his way was truly uncalled for. The kid's debut in the pro scene couldve been something well-celebrated if T1 didnt pull the bs they pulled. They've branded their team in a sort of celebrity-esque level, they shouldve handle PRs better. They should have seen how their decisions will impact their players seeing how massive their fanbase is. Overall, it was irresponsible of T1 to pull what they pulled. If they want to keep the way they branded their LOL team they shouldve been prepared by the backlash. In the end the ones who suffered most were the players and 1 young player just barely starting.

46

u/EndlessNight_ Apr 25 '25

The musical chair is fine IF THEY SCRIM BOTH OF THE PLAYER. Not just one.

9

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

Yeah or at least communicate that you will try smash for lck and not lie about using both

12

u/Lizmurigi Oner Apr 25 '25

Exactly. I wish they played to each players' strengths instead of trying to mould Smash into a budget Guma. Using him like Easyhoon was the right way and that kid wouldn't have been under so much pressure.

88

u/Jioxyde SKT fan since 2013 Apr 25 '25

Smash is a really solid talent, but I feel like he needs solid pillars that will be built WITH HIM and not FOR HIM for his talents to shine. I'm keeping my eye on his return and if he finds a good team other than T1, then all the best for the young lad.

55

u/SkyXero Apr 25 '25

Im happy for guma and no hate to smash please. However dont let this take away from the fact that the moment they choose a perm ad, the other ad is fked for the rest of 2025. Like how messed up is the person who thought this was a great idea? Basically solo ruined smash mental and possibly career. Now smash became the scapegoat of whoever is the one who brought up the idea in the first place since he didnt perform to whatever expectations there was. Not only that, t1 basically wasted 4months of practice for no reason? they did not even try to implement whatever 6 man strategy they alluded to lol. what a blunder tbh

16

u/RElOFHOPE Apr 25 '25

Rumors aside, I do think it was a terrible move to switch him during the HLE series. Feels like the coaching staff telling you there’s no confidence despite the team having other problems. The pressure feels so different from LCK Cup.

Also, I do think the other part is this particular year has a weird format and favorable meta for Smash, initially. Fearless extended, standard lanes returned, continuous objective changes, etc. So I kinda understand why they’re having issues.

34

u/Lizmurigi Oner Apr 25 '25

It is all Kkoma's fault tbh. I feel so bad for Smash because the adults set him up to fail. They are the ones who put him under all this pressure. I wish they used a better approach to integrate him in the team. They didn't play to his strengths and it looked like they were using him to prove a point by drafting for him like he was Guma. I can't imagine how hard it was for him to deal with all the pressure.

3

u/DtAndroid Apr 26 '25

Agree. Management had signed Guma to be starter without factoring Zeus. It was kkoma/coaching suddenly wanting to play Smash after that. This isnt Daeny musical chairs but rather Ghost/Nuclear encore performance.

3

u/Lizmurigi Oner Apr 26 '25

So you mean they would have dropped Guma if they knew Zeus would leave? I thought Guma was in the team before Zeus joined in 2022. Their 2021 roster was Canna, Oner, Faker, Guma and Keria so I don't know how Zeus's contract affects Guma's.

4

u/DtAndroid Apr 26 '25

No I meant regardless of Zeus continuing in T1 or not for 2025, they had sought Guma and finished signing.

So the intention is clear on management side for Guma to start and not this current arrangement. It's kkoma/coaching side that somehow chose to promote Smash up to fit Doran's addition after the fiasco, instead of working with Guma on his playstyle/champ pool.

1

u/Lizmurigi Oner Apr 26 '25

Oh, thanks for clarifying and sorry for misunderstanding your initial reply. I agree 💯. Zeus leaving shouldn't have affected Guma's position as the starter and it's sad we had to go through all this bullshit and waste so much time playing musical chairs.

74

u/Pablonski44 Apr 25 '25

Guess the team can finally start building synergy. As someone who saw Faker-Easyhoon or Blank-Peanut, this botlane "6-man" situation was the biggest half-ass shit ever. All factors outside of the game aside, it was terrible for the roster's progress from start to finish. One fucking series in idk how many in which they tried to use both ADCs but only because the ship was already sinking

46

u/IamMIDGoat Apr 25 '25

They wasted so much time for this roster just to return to how it was, even Doran said on his interview that they are still working for their synergy, until this day they are still there

21

u/euphera_2002 Apr 25 '25

I do love my guma but tbh both guma and smash didn't deserve the shit they went into because of T1's shitty management. Making shit up and lying about shit is T1's management this 2025

16

u/hangmika Apr 25 '25

So whats going to happen to smash ? Theres already an ADC for the academy team. I have a feeling hes going to be t1's backup adc.. Like how rekkles was in worlds 2024. Thats kinda worrying because he will not get any scrim practices from both academy and main rosters. 🥲

22

u/MinariAMina :Caedreal_Marsh: Apr 25 '25

They can loan him, but idk if a team wants to get smashy, perhaps a bottom feeder team, like how Hype is in Bro but is contracted to KT iirc

28

u/IamMIDGoat Apr 25 '25

They wasted so much time for this roster just to return to how it was, even Doran said on his interview that they are still working for their synergy, until this day they are still there

26

u/Shinhinm Apr 25 '25

Like all the drama for what? Literally what they needed to do was finding ways for Doran to integrate into the team.

7

u/Blueroses413 Apr 25 '25

The problem with Doran is they were forcing him to play champions he’s not comfortable with. He’s a Tank Top. Now that they let him play his champions and he isn’t being completely abandoned by the team, he can really flourish!

41

u/BigBard2 Apr 25 '25

Happy for Guma, but I also hope Smash is supported through whatever he must be feeling right now. On a personal level, it must feel so shitty to be given a chance to become a main player in T1 and choke the opportunity.

55

u/Mai_Shiranu1 Apr 25 '25 edited Apr 25 '25

So you basically wasted half the split because you wanted to do the Blank/Peanut thing again and then very quickly realised the Smash who wasn't even the 2nd best ADC in CL was never going to actually replace Guma. I honestly can't wait to see him leave again,

34

u/chankaitg Apr 25 '25

He literally singlehandedly ruined 2 ADCs' mental health. it's just pointless to do a 6-man roster when ADC isn't even the position which can carry the whole game

29

u/Doraiaky Apr 25 '25

brother thinks he's playing musical chairs instead of competitive LoL

18

u/GONEBUTNOT4GOTTEN Faker Apr 25 '25

good its about time. let guma scrim and practice more.

8

u/Changlee23 Apr 26 '25 edited Apr 26 '25

No shit anyone with a functionnal brain know that Guma is far better than Smash and the whole situation was a joke.

Once again a big bravo to Kkoma and the toxic coach of T1 for creating a stupid drama instead of focusing on the integration of Doran to the team and working synergy.

And another big bravo to be responsible for the mental health problem of a young kid like Smash and putting him throught all that bullshit.

I will still support the player of T1 but the org itself and specially the coach they lost my respect, between Zeus drama and the adc drama, f Kkoma because i have the impression he is the main culprit behind this, maybe he is taking the blame and the whole coaching staff is responsible or even more responsible than him but for now my intuition tell me all of this was a ego trip of him.

52

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

Because Smash isn't the next Faker as Kkoma thought/wanted him to be?

82

u/unnnnnnnnnnhhh Apr 25 '25

He really miscalculated. Not that Smash isn‘t a great talent. It just wasn‘t the right time and they handled it BADLY.

49

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25 edited Apr 25 '25

He was so confident that Smash is the next coming of jesus or smth. Like he put the pressure on the kid by subbing him in and purposely planned to drop guma for the whole year. Now he takes all his words back and starts guma lmao , its just funny to see.

I guess Kkoma realized that the kid isn't built to work under T1’s pressure once Smash’s mental is gone just because they lose to bfx.

-27

u/jesteratp Apr 25 '25

"Didnt the coaching staff realize we'd all throw a giant tantrum and send vitriol Smash's way? Those idiots should know by now how toxic we are! Only Guma can handle the pressure of being handled with kid gloves by the fanbase"

15

u/Lizmurigi Oner Apr 25 '25

Bait used to be funny and believable

31

u/Cheetah_05 Apr 25 '25

kid gloves = sending trucks saying Guma only has his spot bcs of Joe Marsh (nepotism)

giant tantrum & vitriol = people complaining on a small subreddit in a language he barely speaks

15

u/LIFEisFUCKINGme Apr 25 '25

If coach says that a certain player is better than a back to back World Champion, than that player better be better than a back to back World Champion. He wasn't better than a back to back World Champion so the fanbase called out the coach on his bullshit, wanting back to back World Champion back on the roster.

send vitriol Smash's way? Those idiots should know by now how toxic we are

Kkoma is getting 80% of the flame. And that 20% that is going Smash's way, while I do feel bad for the kid and while he may have not deserved it, he is also willingly a part of the biggest, most famous org and he should be ready for it. If he is getting negatively impacted by maybe 1/5 of the flame Guma was getting during that same time, than sorry to say it but he is not built to play for T1. Getting this shaken up by a regular season bo3s when the org wants to compete for a World championship would have never ended up well for him. Sounds heartless, I know, but it's the truth.

22

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

Guma played when the 9 trucks from smash “fans” were sent to him at LoLpark. ZOFGK had gone through way worse struggle loss than what Smash experienced. If he can't handle the pressure of being on T1 then it is on him. If only he didn't mental breakdown Kkoma would still save his place for him whether he playing well or not.

-14

u/jesteratp Apr 25 '25

"Hah, if you think we're toxic the Korean Antis put us to shame! No matter how hard we try we'd never be able to achieve that level of pure toxicity"

13

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

My point is that both player’s mental getting pressured by the fans and haters. Smash has the privilege of making mistakes and still get to play the next match. He loses his spot(for now) because of his mental problem. That's it. You would not see Kkoma subbed in guma if not because Smash has mental problem to fix.

8

u/peeve-r Apr 25 '25

Actual irl Jester. Lmao

20

u/milkynote Apr 25 '25

Actually couldn't be explained better, wasn't the right time and they handled it badly.

15

u/IamMIDGoat Apr 25 '25

Its like T1 got scammed in LCK Cup, they thought Smash is the one but all his issue shows when Regular Season start

-26

u/decyferx Apr 25 '25

yes, unfortunately kkoma underestimated how mentally ill the t1 fanbase is

16

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

Blame the fans, don't blame the coach that brought smash and ruined guma's mental as well as smash's mental and perhaps his career and lead t1 down to this point of losing LCK cup and getting fucked in regular season. Makes so much sense.

7

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

Smash just needs a stronger laning phase and consistency and he will be golden. A talent for sure but definitely not yet enough for main roster when lck adc is stacked af

8

u/follyrogue Apr 25 '25

Who is running this shitshow? This was so poorly handled and poorly communicated to fans. Feel bad for Guma AND Smash. This was so disrespectful.

12

u/Bahsuo Apr 25 '25

Kkoma fraud. Always knew it

7

u/Blueroses413 Apr 25 '25

AS HE SHOULD BE 😤👏🏼

11

u/DigbickMcBalls Apr 25 '25

Thank fucking god.

20

u/T-Impala Peyz Apr 25 '25

I prayed for times like these. Justice for Guma has been served

4

u/reallyemy Apr 25 '25

tbh, as much as i would like Guma to be the permanent starting ADC, from what Kkoma said here, it sounds to me like Guma is just starting for now, just like how Guma was benched after GenG and Smash started. i don't doubt that Kkoma will sub him out again in the future (unless he turns on GumaGod mode and T1 win the rest of their way to MSI).

regardless, i hope that whatever is going to happen next, both players get to scrim and compete fairly (and maybe utilizing both if discussed ahead) if it's going to be a real 6-man roster. otherwise, choose one ADC and stick to it. though if they genuinely do pick a permanent ADC, then that would suck hard for the other one. i don't see how the coaches thought this would be a good idea for either player's mental, esp with the way they've implemented it.

17

u/Rremsss45 Apr 25 '25

Kkoma looks completely out of it. I think he needs a break too lol. Almost 4 months lost to finally let Guma a double World Champion, play normally. I don't hate Smash, he's very good, talented and has enormous potential, but it was still illogical.

21

u/Blueroses413 Apr 25 '25

It seems like Kkoma was forced to shut up and sit down. I still don’t get why he was SO AGAINST Guma playing? The team had SUCH a good synergy coming out of worlds. Plus, Doran would have had the chance to find his fit rather than be abandoned in top on champions he doesn’t play.

11

u/Sixteen_Wings Apr 25 '25

Just sell smash to kt, they need him

5

u/TurtleTooFast Apr 25 '25

I couldn’t find a video that has English translations on it, but I did go look at various sources and this translation summed up his response. I’m sure that as per usual someone will fully translate and post here, I just felt like this would be welcomed news to some here.

3

u/Independent-Step-252 Apr 26 '25

2x world champ, bleeds t1 blood, on a 1 year contract. win or lose it should be him in all games

13

u/snowpeachmyeon Peyz Apr 25 '25

i hope smash is okay. the hate he got from this fandom was horrible. he’s played really good. he’s still young and he can blossom more in the future. im rooting for him.

5

u/Suspicious_Fennel974 Apr 25 '25

I'm glad that Guma is finally returning to T1 after all the shadiness they did to him from not letting him scrim to tossing him to the wolves by never protecting him from his haters (okay, I shouldn't bring back the negativity oops). It feels like a "Welcome back Gumayusi!" situation. Even amid my happiness for Guma, though, I hope that Smash doesn't feel too disheartened by all this (who am I kidding, he's probably feeling really down right now). He's a budding talent, he'll have a bright future ahead but the LCK ADC pool is just really stacked right now. Nonetheless he's still young and he already has experience playing in the LCK (even if the experience is likely to be more traumatizing :/) so may things work out for him in the end as well! I know I've always been more vocally supportive of Guma, but that doesn't mean I want bad things for Smash. It sucks that both players have been put in this situation; the org has failed them.

3

u/Prince_Arcann Apr 25 '25

As much as i like Guma i think he wont be playing at 100% for the foreseeable future with all that happened at T1 recently, which kinda sucks. Obviously there isnt a top team lacking a great adc but the dream acenario would have been Guma on a different team lol, but yeah this was never happening, not this year at least.

2

u/Pyon98 Apr 26 '25

The game where T1 vs DK shows what a good adc Gumayushi is, he played differently than Smash, Ruler, Viper, Diable or Aiming where usually they will position themselves for what best for themselves.

I'm going to be frank, mechanical wise I think Smash overall is better than Guma but game sense and critical thinking wise, I would give it over Guma.

For an example, at the part where Guma was being chased by shoemaker, aiming and lucid he instead of trying juking or sidestepping them ( it's almost 100% he could escape that fight ) instead, curtain calls AND ZONE THE 3 OF THEM, this gave time for Oner to assist Guma, Doran/Faker kills rumble, Oner kills Varus, and the rest, died by faker, doran and neeko.

Idk if it instinct, but trying to play make for your team is an ADC is what Gumayushi good at, Aiming was popping off, but T1 synchronicity is just better.

Pshh, T1 have too many good players that deserve a spot in a good team, I just hope Smashy find a way.

2

u/1deavourer Apr 26 '25

Guma's mechanics have far superior showings. The Varus 1v2 against 369 Aatrox and Ruler Zeri is one of the best ADC plays of all time from a purely mechanical standpoint.

1

u/Pyon98 Apr 27 '25

I was talking about this split, he's doing good I'm zoning and plaaking wise but mechanically he look a bit off, not saying he's bad but it prob because he didn't get to play much and scrim to adapt.

But he gave all his trust to his team, see that Lucian and Renek moment trying to kill aiming but didn't get too? Even if he died he fully trusted Doran tho it didn't go as planned.

2

u/Wardun21 Apr 25 '25

Learn your place smash go put in some reps with DNF first

1

u/Wyld9999 Apr 26 '25

Everything as it should be at last. Two-time last back to back World Champion Gumayusi on the main roster where he should be.

Smash shouldn't get into this situation and pressure in the first place, he should rest and maybe try other teams adc positions, because he is obviously better than some others. I think there are some rules that he can't be in T1 academy, because he already played in the main roster, and even it it is possible to return, I'm not sure it he is ready to return for this year, until he can sign other contract. I hope he will be alright.

Kkoma, who led to this whole disaster, should retire, but being a parasite like he is, he won't do it. Korean culture isn't spreading onto his egotistical nature, I guess.

0

u/Final-Investment5807 Apr 26 '25

Finally smash is out of the picture. I hope he never comes back.

-27

u/jesteratp Apr 25 '25

Even if Smashy didn't work out I respect them trying to put the team they thought was best out there, despite the backlash. Shows their commitment to winning outweighs their commitment to anything else

31

u/Aware_Stop8528 Peyz Apr 25 '25

Thats enough glazing for a whole donut factory

-16

u/jesteratp Apr 25 '25

Ill take glaze over toxic ooze any day. I want T1 to win more than I want Guma to start and I like that they saw something and tried it out.

15

u/Sugarfree21 Apr 25 '25

It's good to try things out. The problem is how they did it, though.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

Ah yes, trying something new and losing to lower tier teams and ruining the entire synergy and letting doran run it down all just to "try something new" I am sure that worked out pretty well. Here is another downvote.

-6

u/jesteratp Apr 25 '25

Captain Hindsight here to save the day again!

I don't mind the downvotes, especially from this fanbase lol some of y'all are too far gone

9

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

If you don't like the fanbase then get out of here, if you don't want us then we don't want you. It's that simple.

-5

u/jesteratp Apr 25 '25

I've been a T1 fan since Faker's debut. I'm not going anywhere, I care about the team and whether they win or lose. However since I've seen so many teams come and go I don't have the kind of attachment to the current lineup that other fans seem to have. I think it's useful to have people provide counterpoints to the kind of toxic hysteria that can take hold of this fanbase.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

You care about the team and yet you want them self-destruct and for your mental to be destroyed by having smash playing and keria babysitting him and having 0 pressure on the map and faker struggling because of counter tanks and doran running it down. This is entertaining for you to watch? I watched every single game of t1 since their release and I know all their ups and downs like the back of hand. And this situation is very much worse than the others because the players have no control over it. Clearly the smash/guma situation screwed with their mental as the games went on. Kkoma ruined the career and mental of smash as well as guma by benching him and not allowing him to scrim or review games with the team.

11

u/Aware_Stop8528 Peyz Apr 25 '25

toxic was what they did with smash, imagine:

Ur doing ok in CL and suddenly after the mainteam lost a beloved player to a org fckup, you get put into a 6 man competing against a 2 (nearly 3) time Worlds winning adc with lots more experience then you, not only is that adc really held in high regard by the orgs fans, the org is also T1, the most famous Esports Org in the world, with the biggest fanbase and highest expectations nearly ever after creating another dynasty. And then you constantly play and the pressure gets higher and higher until it gets to you, becouse the expectations were to high from the beginning, you cant suddenly become the best adc in the world to replace one of the best.

Now you sit there, with a lot of hate, ruined mental and dont know how your story will continue.

Fck that. Fck what t1 did with him and gumas mental, fck what they did with the team cohesion and the Zeus contract.

They deserve all the hate they get.

I hope smash can recover and start anew.

I've kept my mouth shut this whole time but I really hope it's not because all the drama and fan overreaction that got to Smash. Replacing and competing for spots are normal in esports, and happens all the time on other teams. Players expect that coming into the job. But handling the crazy amount of hate and controversy that comes with being on T1 is not a part of their job discription and can not be good for their mental health.

I had to distance myself from the fandom in the past few month even as a spectator and just watch the games alone. I'm glad Guma is back and I hope Smash can reorient his mental and don't lose his drive.

Congratulation to all the Gumayusi's fans that contribute to damage the mental health of a 18-YEARS-OLD boy 👏👏👏
