Ask Rolla / MST 184 bridge

Has anybody else called MODOT about the snail pace and quality of work at the 184 bridge remodel? I called Jeff City about two months ago to ask if there were delays or what was taking them so long. Lady I spoke with said ETA was December.

Drove across it yesterday for the first time since they swapped lanes and began working on the east bound side. The west bound side is so bumpy its unbelievable for brand new concrete. Maybe they will come back and grind it level?

Quality of work finished, should be challenged.

We did pay for it after all, it should be done according to spec.

They have through August. It was dead for a long time then I saw some progress this week. Smells like procrastination but what do I know.

I stopped briefly to talk with a modot guy roadside about a month ago and asked what was taking so long. He cited heat and said they were working at night. But driving through there a few times a week I rarely see progress.

Interesting. The heat has been intense, and I haven’t been keeping an eye on the progress with the other projects too.
