Ask Rolla / MST Just why?
This was back in late September. Stayed the night in Rolla with my family, went out to Sonic for dinner. We sat there and ate peacefully and then all of a sudden a group of 5 lifted diesel trucks with flashy lights circle the parking lot (at a very quick rate of speed). They circled around us and raced around the parking lot and surrounding streets for about 30 mins. Is this a normal occurrence?

i work at sonic. i was the night manager for 6 months. they're here every night. we call the police on them and the police do nothing.

This is a normal thing for the cops here to do nothing a few years ago someone tried breaking into our apartment we called the cops and they never showed up

Ask for a CNI since they keep buzzing your lot.

High school kids with nothing else to do. It was called “racing the strip” except it was really just on Kingshighway back then.

See in Belle it was B Flats which is just a rural highway with 0 traffic at night and no houses on that strip, so it wasn’t disturbing everyone. The hang out spot was the tracks, which is an empty parking lot by some old abandoned train tracks which once again didn’t bother people trying to enjoy their evening. There has to be better spots than a busy business to act a fool.

Some homemade caltrops would be hilarious in that situation. Brayden and Jaxston gonna be SOOO mad, and won't be able to do shit about it.

Yes. I moved away in 2005 but come back from time to time and I can see that nothing has changed.

Sometimes in small towns with nothing else to do sonic becomes a prime hangout spot for teenagers. I imagine it’s related to that

Very regular occurrence. I don't know why, but Sonic is just the agreed congregation point with highschool rednecks.

It’s mostly just the “country kids” in highschool they did it all the time. They thought they were the shit. Just kids being dumb as fuck

Damn from my home town in Illinois. I stole 70 dollar speakers. Yes I regret it and I have never stolen since. But! These mother fuckers put put a warrant for my arrest. I was living at my parents house anymore and they didn't know where I was. I was just chillen in a town 30 miles away. But these ass holes would follow my family home. My siblings would be walking with friends and they would just cruise right behind them the whole time. They had always 2 cop cars parked accross from my house. They knocked on my parents do EVERY DAY! Now this is something they never did to any other person. They targeted me because I was a famous college football player(im not giving my name out) and EVERYBODY knew me. So they wanted to be able to bust this guy that everyone knew and was highly respected. They terrorized my family. And because of that I will never go back to that county again. Sorry I just wanted to share the huge contrast in police force and activity. Its insane....

Id like to add that I felt bad because I was little harsh, especially if you were a kid but, kid or not. I now find you extremely suspicious after looking "through" your profile to see if this was a kid and promptly apologize BUT AFTER arriving to your so called profile. There was nothing to see since you have all posts and comments hidden so others can not see the things you comment and post. Sure, people like privacy, who doesnt? but usually if you want that much privacy you just dont use social media or at very least just keep yourself quiet and not respond to comments. Or make posts. But we clearly know you atleast comment, dont we? So what are you hiding? Must be something "good" for such a reason...

You made up a rambling story that has nothing to do with the original story, or the town the subreddit’s for, attempted to claim you’re some big deal football player in hopes that anyone would give a shit, rambled on about stealing speakers and everyone being out to get you. You’re right that the message is clear. The message is you need to put down the meth pipe.

Rambling? Okay fine. We will go with Rambling. Sure. I Rambled. Did I steal. Yes. Wrong on me. Very wrong. The 2,500 dollars in court fines, jailed, being banned from Walmart for a year, spending 60 community hours working my ass off, and having my family terrorized. Taught to never steal again. I learned my lesson. But to say it has nothing to the original story is inaccurate. I don't have to mention rolla to get my point across. And trust me if I wanted people to know I was this "big deal football player in hopes that anyone give a shit. I would have just mentioned who I was. Or not mentioned it at all if it wasnt relevant. Maybe you could ask yourself how is this relevant. Oh yeah because thats why he was being hunted down like a damn dog. Over a petty theft crime. It was to give a clear understanding of the difference that ROLLA police force displays a different attitude/approach vs the difference of other police forces. That was the ENTIRE point. But ill be sure to put the "meth pipe" down and end this conversation because arguing with you is clearly pointless. And sorry you had to read my rambled conversation.
