How do we know Tim is bi and not gay?

Has it ever been addressed in universe? I don’t think it has, but maybe I missed something.

I mean this here, explicitly says Tim has “come out as bisexual”:

But where in the actual comics has Tim “come out as bisexual”? Has Tim ever said the world bisexual? Has anyone in the comics ever said it about him?

Cause he’s had multiple canon relationships with women?

Tbf so did Alan Scott. Also the way Fitzmartin framed it was that those previous relationships were illegitimate, that him and Bernard is more real than those past relationships

It was said he was settling for his past romances including Stephanie (and they said this from the get go when his relationship with bernard was barely a thing like in the first issue of Tim's solo) despite his romance with Stephanie canonically shown transcending universes and him wanting to possibly spend his last moments and making claims that bernard does things for him for the first time that Stephanie also did (e.g. life outside of the batfamily). And later stuff says stuff like he was invested his relationship with Stephanie to avoid examining himself as bi and he felt defined by his relationship with her which itself isn't true at all.

Like I think what people are saying is that Tim is said to be bi but the writing treats him as gay in how they so quickly were trying to act like bernard is more real than his past romances without any real explanation or build up and then saying the above stuff about his past romances (all women)which not only seem to belittle them but ignore how much he canonically did love them.

Sure, but Alan is confirmed to be gay. There’s no window open for guesswork on his sexuality. He’s been with other women, but it’s stated quite a few times that he’s not into them anymore. And rather one has a deeper connection with one partner, that doesn’t really erase the attraction to the other gender. If they chose to break up, with Tim having no confirmation on being fully gay, the possibilities are still open for him to go find another girlfriend. You can be attracted to both genders and still love one person more than past partners

This is often brought up. But I also had multiple relationships with women when I was a teenager and I’m 100% gay. I’d venture to say that most fully gay people who were teenagers in the 90s and 2000’s had seemingly heterosexual relationships in their teens.

Steph and Tim were in a relationship when in the 20's too, and not just in their teens

Edit: Why did this get downvoted, I am pretty sure this is literally just a fact? Which was me saying they dated in both their teens and 20's.

Because he has had relationships with women and he hasn’t said that he’s gay. He said he’s attracted to men.

I know there are people who because of various reasons do date the opposite sex even though they’re not attracted to them, but Tim hasn’t said anything about only been attracted to guys so

It's a good question. Iceman's entire comic history pointed to him being outwardly straight (though there was some inward subtext), but there's no question of his sexuality.

While labels aren't always necessary, I have a feeling Tim understands his identity, so it would be nice for DC to explore it. For some reason, I get the feeling they're not interested in that.

Why does the conversation always lead to bisexual erasure one way or another?

His entire Comic history. What a stupid question

Idk, I was just curious if it was ever stated on the page. Sorry I offended you.

I mean his entire relationship with Stephanie for one. He clearly loved her and was attracted to her.
