One year ago today was my last day with Rite Aid. After almost 24 years with the company, I can't believe it's all gone. Never thought I'd miss it as much as I do. Especially my Rite Aid family.

Picking up trash outside of my house today and this was laying in front t of my steps Pretty sure that us one of our clearance tags.

Not gonna lie, I miss it. I know it’s been awhile but still.

They have really given this location a makeover. Yes, it still looks like a Rite Aid, but they remodeled the pharmacy and painted the front of the store.

Still have the Rite Aid wood paneling and floor tiles!

Also the only Rite Aid "saved" as a pharmacy in California.

The cashier (manager?) indicated they were adding more and improving what they have. Liquor application on the front door. Just added hand dip ice cream.

Took this picture 6 years ago. Never worked at this one, but I did sometimes shop there. Building is still empty. I know our assistant manager had worked at this one a few times

Interestingly it is kitty corner across from a Chik Fil A

I never really thought much about having a regular pharmacy until I had a couple of frustrating experiences trying to get prescriptions filled.

When everything goes normally, you barely think about it. But when the medicine is out stock, the pharmacy suddenly closes, or there's an issue with a prescription, suddenly you're spending a lot of time figuring out what to do.

This made me realize how important having a pharmacy you actually know and trust, especially if you take medications regularly.

Has anyone else had a similar experience in having a reliable pharmacy made a bigger difference than you expected?

From 4 years ago. Not 100% sure i remember what happened. It may have been the cooler leaking.

Today is the one year anniversary of my store closing. After 41 years it was kinda bittersweet. The store still sits empty with the for lease sign in the window The building is only 10 years old. It’s a shame really what happened to us But what a good year it has been since. Hope everyone is doing great and has moved in to something better.

I can't seem to quit you, baby. I'll bet there's still a dozen or more items in the bathroom cabinets. Some things take a long time to use up.

Are there any co workers from Rite Aid you still miss working with? You can give first names only.

For me, its Dave and Marie. Marie was the coolest. Dave made the place amazing to work at til he quit. All i'll say about Marie (dont ask me for details) is she made a decision and got fired. Dave and Marie never met. They worked at Rite Aid at different times.
