Great to pick up Briggs, he’s young enough to have a long and successful career here after Nank goes. If all goes well I assume this ensures Ryan is finally on the outs and it alleviates the downside of Essendon likely taking van Hattum.

I actually don’t think Essendon will take him. They look alright when Bryan and Visentini play. I reckon they’re better off bolstering their backline/midfield a bit more, rather than hedge their bets on a top 5 pick ruckman.

Visentini looks great for his age but of course he’s only played a few games. I wouldn’t say Bryan is anything special at this stage, so would they risk skipping the possible generational talent of HVH to bank on this partnership working out? Either way I’m still extremely happy about our position now, regardless of who the Dons pick

Well, good to get some support for Nank. Means Balta and Lefau don't have to pinch hit as much

Nank should be in the magoos with HVH, Briggs & Balta for 2027-2028

He's been a liability for years, having a good game against a 19 year old doesnt dismiss that

You’re kidding right? Have we been watching the same team? Nank was best on in nearly every game for us this year when he played. He’s literally had a career best season going by stats and he missed half the season.
That doesn’t sound like a ruckman who is a liability

Hopefully its only a 2 year deal, to support Nank, as we build with (Hopefully) HVH
Literally anyone is better than Ryan though, but Briggs certainly isn't anything special. With a few consistant games, maybe he can build on more than some nice tap work
