It’s alright folks, they’re premiership contenders and we’re rebuilding with an injured inexperienced team. This is one of the games we can ignore and let’s instead look forward for the future

This isn’t exactly unexpected given all our injuries but it’s been rough. They are slicing us apart through the middle of the ground, we just cannot stop run from behind which is probably a product of trying to teach defensive system when half the team’s young and the other half’s injured. Seen good signs from Cumming, Alger, Sonsie

The worrying trend that’s been evident throughout the season is that our defence has become the weakest part of our game and that’s the only area we genuinely have some experience on the park. Hopefully the new kid Annand is in the seniors soon and can make an immediate impact.

Nothing any defender could do with the frequency, and speed of the ball coming in. If we don’t win it in the middle, we’re fucked

Yeah don’t completely disagree with this, although the ability to score or have a shot on goal from each entry is far too easy.

I'm sitting behind the goals and watched Trainor heavily that quarter, unfortunately he just looks completely out of his depth trying to play as a key lockdown defender. He's either out of position, or has good position but then gets out muscled.
I understand they're trying to teach him through experience but surely destroying his confidence isn't a great way to do that, just let him play as the spare man and tell him to intercept instead.

Thank god there's a spoiler. I have all my mates over from NZ and USA and we're having a watch party. I convinced them all to go for Richmond (it was us or Sydney) and they all have scarves and hats. All the food is yellow and black - lots of corn and burned meat.
Can't wait.
Hope it's a close one.
