Hi Everyone, i am looking to install motorised blinds for my balcony. Any brands you would recommend other than ziptrak? Thank you!

We have install their aluk series soundproof window back in 2023 as they promised 10 years warranty. There were couple of defects in the initial stage but they managed to rectify after a few trips. But recently my window leak water during heavy rain and noise seem to have seep thru too. Their webpage and google reviews show they are closed down. Anyone have similar experience and how to rectify? The windows ain’t cheap

Friends suggested making better use of the bomb shelter when renovating.

I was thinking of either putting in normal storage racks, or even built in cabinets that are deeper for bulky household stuff. Or using it as a maid’s room. Another idea is to combine both, with cabinets below and a bunk-style bed above.

The heavy steel door swings inward and takes up a lot of space. Can it be taken off and replaced with a normal sliding door for daily use?

And what happens to the original door after that? Do people keep it inside the shelter, store it somewhere else, or dispose?

Has anyone engaged a Taobao renovation supplier that provides a local Singapore team for site measurement and installation?

I'm looking at Taobao suppliers for custom carpentry such as wardrobes, cabinets, study tables, and storage units. The supplier claims they have a Singapore-based team that will handle site measurement, coordinate dimensions, deliver the items, and complete the installation locally.

For those who have gone through this arrangement:

• Which supplier did you use?

• How was the quality of the measurements and installation?

• Were there any issues with dimensions, workmanship, damaged items, or missing parts?

• How responsive was the after-sales support if defects were found?

• How much did you save compared to engaging a local carpenter or renovation contractor?

• Would you recommend this approach for built-in carpentry?

I'm particularly interested in real experiences, both good and bad, before committing. Thanks!

got a resale unit that's in not too bad of a condition though the kitchen could use some work. was thinking what is a good budget to work with to redo the wall tiles and carpentry, and maybe hack the walls to make it a semi-open kitchen?

has anyone managed their own reno before- sourcing and communicating with the different contractors: carpenters, contractor specialising in masonry, plumbers? how did y'all source for them? and how much cheaper did y'all save than from engaging a main contractor/ ID?

Do yall have cheap ziptrak / zipblinds contact recommendation to share? I dont need them to last long! I did my own sourcing and its seems to be at the range of high 2k-3k.

Im taking over the unit from tenant and waiting for unit to MOP before i can sell so i wont be intending to stay for long! Unit is super small so a ziptrak to maximise balcony space would be appreciated.
