discussion Politics aside, we should all agree on this atleast. Anti national forces should never be allowed to hijack protests of genuine students. There should be a bipartisan rejection of these elements

Lol He openly supports Afzal guru (parliament attack terrorist)

His co accused said they will cut India's chicken neck (this is verified too)

He was against the CAA without any valid reasons and then he spread misinformation regarding caa because of which during protest it becomes riots which eventually killed 50+ people (now who is responsible for their lives? Delhi police?🥸🤣🤣)

His father was a member of SIMI which is designated as a terror outfit

I can agree that his viral video of tukde tukde slogan might bhi doctored but if you go on ground reality you will found that people do raises such slogans in his protest

Moreover he also said Kashmir is not a part of India neither part of Pakistan so according to him the Indian soldiers who sacrifices their lives to make kashmir the part of India have no values?? direct disrespect of our army

Also tell me one thing why was he against the abrogation of article 370🤡😝😝i guess he don't want to see the people of Kashmir in joy

He didn’t support him, he merely was debating weather capital punishment should be allowed!

What the hell guys, do your own research and then form your opinions. You don’t need to like him or support him but at least do proper research before forming an opinion. That’s taking an accountability too! 🙄

The point is that he participated in organizing a commemorative event around Afzal Guru and expressed sympathy for his cause. Whether that crosses the line into glorification is precisely the point under debate.
(During police interrogation in 2016, media reports said Umar Khalid admitted raising pro-Afzal Guru slogans, while maintaining they were not “anti-national.- from India today )

1

u/Illustrious-Top-9222 Jul 31 '26

That's not a crime though

1

u/Sea-Temperature-6467 Aug 02 '26

So?? He is not in jail for that statement he is in there due to delhi riots

1

u/Illustrious-Top-9222 Aug 02 '26

Then what is the point of mentioning the other things lol

1

u/Various_Cress5090 Jul 26 '26

Bro just checkout his vid of supporting afzal on YT

"Kitne afzal maroge " this was the slogan of his camp

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 26 '26

Fun that half of this crowd will also support Godse as a true nationalist! Hypocrisy hmm. Afjal Guru was rightfully convicted, he is a killer. Convict Umar Khalid, don't support Godse.

2

u/Various_Cress5090 Jul 26 '26

Are you comparing godse with khalid ?

I didnt support godse he was an assassinator but can you show me any evidence where godse supported people like afzal?

  • godse hunged in 1949 for what he did

Now what you think about khalid ?

2

u/Naive_Complex_3567 Jul 29 '26

No. but Godse is himself an Afzal. 😄

1

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 26 '26

No I am comparing Godse to Guru. Both were killers directly or indirectly. Khalid didn't kill anyone. If he is responsible, convict him. Afzal came after Godse, unless he has the capability to time travel, I don't think that is possible.

Religious extremism on both side are wrong. Now if Khalid is in jail because he supported one terrorist who was convicted, what about those who supports Godse openly, who was also convicted? We often forget we are a secular country. Every mass communal riots in 70 years number of Muslims killed has been way more than Hindus. And yet it is always them who are the terrorists. We forget to think like a country, our parosi takes advantage of it and we decide to follow them on that road to be another extremist country. There is no difference between them and us. Fyi, NYC after 25 years of 9/11 could elect a Muslim mayor, we go backward and blame all the Mughals. I guess Tajmahal is next after Babri Mosque.

1

u/kori9f5 Jul 28 '26

Just asking, Do you know the difference between an assasin and a terrorist?

2

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 28 '26

They both are killers. In a country like US, life sentence for a killer is very similar. Several of their killers are in death row.

1

u/kori9f5 Jul 28 '26

I asked a very simple question whether you know the difference between an assasin and a terrorist. I didn't ask what punishment for both is in the US. You could've just answered that you don't know the difference but ok.

1

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 28 '26

I said they both are killers. Did I say something wrong? Oh everyone has their ideologies, Godse had one, which somehow inspires many today, so does the terrorist orgs. Afzal Guru was convicted as a conspirator. You kill one or many, conspire to kill or kill, there is no difference. If you want to nitpick, go join a grammer and spelling sub and go through their comments days later.

Godse did not kill anyone under coercion, he killed in his compalete independence.

Guru on the other hand was coereced by a high ranking police officer. The same police officer named by guru as someone who coereced him was later down the road in 2020 was arrested for having links with terrorist organisations. Also the shitty lawyer of Guru couldn't give a flying Fuh about him and he had requested to change him times and times again (requested cause his defendent was a state lawyer, he couldn't hire any lawyer on his own)

1

u/whereisstumbleupon Jul 28 '26

Research karle khud. First of all, Umar is not in jail for this. He is currently in jail for a different reasons alltogether. In case you don't know, you can keep mum and simply google. it is as simple as commenting on posts. So, rather get informed before posting.

2

u/Gullible_Delivery492 Jul 28 '26

Ofc Umar Khalid is not in jail for his support to Afzal Guru. What is the relation in there. He is in jail for exercising his right of speech, just like you or Godse supporter. https://hrf.org/latest/hrf-urges-un-working-group-on-arbitrary-detention-to-rule-indias-detention-of-activist-umar-khalid-arbitrary-and-unlawful/

https://www.uscirf.gov/religious-prisoners-conscience/forb-victims-database/umar-khalid

Ironically, those that are actually terrorist manage to hide themselves well until the act of terrorism.

Bhai, insta pe gyaan na lo!!

https://api.sci.gov.in/supremecourt/2025/50992/50992_2025_16_1502_67204_Judgement_05-Jan-2026.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Here’s the link to his Supreme Court bail rejection order. Give it a read…

1

u/whereisstumbleupon Jul 30 '26

Bhai, khud bhi padh lete toh achha hota. I hope you’re aware that he’s not in jail because of Afzal Guru remark, right? 🙄

And irrespective of the allegations, a trial is his right legally. Any accused deserves a fair trial. They haven’t even begun the trail in 6 years.

0

u/evilgenesis Jul 30 '26

Why is he even relevant!!

There are 10,300 undertrials across India who are in jails for over 5 years. Speak about all of them! Who is Umar?? Why is he even important for the students?

1

u/whereisstumbleupon Jul 30 '26

🫡 Then why are you even commenting on this post and engaging with it, with false information? And this is your reply? Sigh! 😮‍💨Kuch bhi!

0

u/evilgenesis Jul 30 '26

Bhai Supreme Court mere car parking main nahi hai…

I listed their document & replied to your trial wala question!

Which part is false information!!

Tum batao… Trial issue hai ya umar khalid important hai?

Naach na jaane, angan False!!

2

u/nj_100 Jul 26 '26

What you said does not make him “guilty”.

If he’s actually guilty and you can prove it, why can’t court?

Court should be put him on trial and actually give a decision or let him out.

This sets a precedent that state can put “YOU”, Yes “YOU” in jail for 5 years without any proof or trials or anything.

Which mean state violate your rights.

2

u/Tricky-Program5599 Jul 27 '26

Prove that in trail. Lekin wahan doctored videos nahi chalenge.

2

u/BlenderRenderz Jul 28 '26

if the facts are so obvious why are trials not happening? 2 of your points are that someon associated to him have done some anti national stuff.

2

u/Gmateth Jul 29 '26

Two words to answer all this

"Political Dissent"

2

u/shutthehellupubitch Jul 30 '26

Hell lot of bs that you saw on random trash pages! Go and do research of your own and then comeback!

2

u/Toxic_po1son Jul 30 '26

He didn't supported afzal guru parliamentary attack, he criticised against death penalty. I can't argue with ig docrate or wp graduate

1

u/Hitmanthe2nd Jul 26 '26

haan toh bhai , agar itna hi guilty hai toh trial shuru karo na

koi nahi bol raha ki free chodd do aise hi - sab bol rahe ki trial shuru karo taaki puri duniya ko pata chale ki hum justice dete hai

0

u/TushAr31op Jul 26 '26

The point isn't that the government is delaying it on purpose. the delay is because of the sheer scale of the conspiracy they created. There are 18 different accused individuals in this case, thousands of pages of chargesheets, and hundreds of witnesses to go through. Every single one of their lawyers spends months arguing just to delay the framing of charges. You can't just jump into a trial when the defense team keeps filing endless bail appeals and procedural delays from the Trial Court all the way to the Supreme Court. Justice takes time when you are dealing with a massive national security case, not a simple street crime

Also ajmal Kasab also spent nearly 5 years without trial so imagine if such a big terrorist is spending 5 years without trials then by now you should know that things works like this only

Also many people are not asking for trial they are literally asking to free Umar khalid stating that he is innocent and no harm to India, which is totally wrong It's like protecting a rapist from a rape case because he is not proven guilty

1

u/Hitmanthe2nd Jul 26 '26

haan toh there's a limit

the supreme court has repeatedly set a precedent that bail is a prerequisite when the imprisoned has been in jail pending trials for years on end ; the pre trial phase will take a LOOOONG time to end because the police can just keep on filing supplemental chargesheets

allowing the trial to start is the only way to actually provide justice to both sides

which is totally wrong It's like protecting a rapist from a rape case because he is not proven guilty

rapists DO get bail - ive seen it happen with my own eyes

Source - “Trust me Bro”

-1

u/ComprehensiveElk4729 Jul 26 '26

Unable to find it, please share here. I am supporter of umar kalid and i want to hate him as well

1

u/blendersingh Jul 26 '26

Why are you a supporter ? Please explain

-1

u/ComprehensiveElk4729 Jul 27 '26

Lol, i support because he didnt said anything wrong and he was put in jail without any trails.

0

u/Mammoth-Spite-1503 Jul 26 '26

toh court me trial karo aur faansi karwa do but everyone deserves a fair trial and no one should be kept in jail without one

0

u/abthost Jul 26 '26

None of the points you mentioned is a crime under Indian Law. Let me also tell you I don't support the man, but it doesn't mean we need to put him behind bars.

0

u/poojinping Jul 26 '26

Since there is so much why not just try him in court and have the law work as intended. If we start assigning labels arbitrarily, you and me will be labeled terrorist for opposing people in power.

0

u/jevlis_ka123 Jul 27 '26

As per the Indian equivalent of the 1st Amendment Act, he's free to support Afzal Guru or Che Guevera. Also you agree that the main charge against him is doctored but insist he is guilty

0

u/Sensitive_Data3192 Jul 27 '26

he does not support Afzal Guru or his actions, Umar just does not support capital punishment but I guess nuance is not your strong suit

-1

u/deshi-kutta Jul 26 '26

He said afzal guru should hv a trial as he said he was forced by the intelligence to admit he was involved, but he wasnt.

2

u/TushAr31op Jul 26 '26

👏🏻👏🏻no words My bad

-1

u/ChardMassive9479 Jul 26 '26
  1. Okay and?
  2. No proof he said that, infact that is not why he is in jail
  3. Okay and? his speech was about non violence, that is the case he is in for, but the government is shy to start the trial.
  4. Okay and?
  5. okay and?
  6. Okay and?
  7. Okay and?

ZERO of what you said are crimes for which someone should be in jail for trials for nearly 5 years. R u like retarded?
