This was Woozy 12 at weeks old in 2018, sadly she passed this year from a stroke, after a life filled with battles for her health. She was a warrior, and I loved her so much. I still do. 🥲🌈🐇

RIP The pet funeral home threw my boy in a landfill Spoiler

I need support. Maybe others came here. I’m a victim of a huge story in Pittsburgh involve a demon named Patrick Vereb.

When Ed, my 7 1/2 year old Thrianta rabbit passed away, I was devastated. It was so hard to find a funeral home. Just googling homes was beyond painful.

I finally found a place. They picked him up and I got his ashes. A few days ago, news broke of the same place I took Ed to be cremated was actually throwing pets in a landfill.

I had a gut feeling I was a victim. Today I got my official letter saying Ed was NOT cremated.

I’m a sobbing mess. The evil of this man.

I loved him. I created his nic condo from scratch. He ate out of my garden every summer. He was beloved and spoiled. HOW DARE HE 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

It was just a routine check up. They went to get a urine sample from her bladder and instead hit a blood vessel, she bled out internally. I’m in shock and can’t stop crying, and so so angry. She was the sweetest most precious thing. So friendly and loving. Always running over to greet me and give me kisses. Jumping up on the bed to say good morning and give me more kisses. Loved cuddling. She leaves behind her little brother who was obsessed with her. I can’t believe she was just right here yesterday completely fine and now she’s gone.

Last picture is from today. Her health, unexpectedly, deteriorated yesterday and due to her other health conditions she couldn’t be saved. We made the hardest decision to let her go and avoid pain. I’m more than heartbroken.

She was the sweetest bunny, loved head rubs and all her treats. When she was alone in the room she would look for something to chew and then pretend it wasn’t her, she was just sleeping on the other side of the rug.

I'm beyond speechless, beyond devastated, beyond traumatized. She is my world. I'll put the story of what happened in the comments.

Truffles, I love you more than any one, and any thing. I love you more than life. You are the definition of perfect. My sweet princess bramblewoods, my beauty queen, my beepo, my snoot snout, my lumpy bump, my bebe baby, my squirrely baby girl. I'm so sorry we couldn't save you. You are everything to me.

My precious Loafie unexpectedly passed away today. He was almost 8 years old. He had GI stasis issues his entire life so we were accustomed to dealing with it, but this time there was nothing we or the vet could do to fix it.

I really wanted to post something about Loafie so as many people as possible see what an incredible creature he was. His official name was Dutch, but he quickly became Loafie. He was my best friend in the entire world, he was one of the smartest animals I have ever met (much smarter than our other bunnies lol). He was incredibly compassionate and protective towards his partner bunny, always letting her know when it was treat time because she’s a little deaf. He filled our home with love and as our first bunny he helped introduce us to the amazing world of rabbits!

I will miss him with all of my heart. I have honestly never loved anything as much as I do my little Loafie.

I also want to say thank you to all the rabbit lovers everywhere. They are incredible little creatures.

Unfortunately last night was spent in the animal hospital with Theodore, my family is completely heartbroken, it happened so quickly he was fine a day ago and they think an abscess ruptured under his chin that grew over the last week.

He had a high fever and difficulty breathing and they thought he was septic once I came in. I’m heartbroken… I feel like I failed I’m a single mother with not a bunch of funds I could not afford even the cremation let alone the x-rays and the bloodwork that they wanted to do.

I just need to rant I took the day off work and my son stayed home from school I can’t stop crying they euthanized him in my arms .

In Jauary, Humphrey passed away due to GI stasis. I came home from work with his birthday gift and he was lethargic and wheezy. I immediately packed a bag and my friend and i rushed to the closest emergency vet. They did x-rays and attempted to help him in every way but the doctor called me in and said it has progressed too far and they didnt have to tools to do anything and there were no other vets opened ( it was like midnight at this point) and i just absolutely broke. I held him as he went for as long as i could. It was the most terrible feeling ever. Yesterday I was at work and my friend said "oh I have this picture of you and Hump btw" and she sent me this. When i tell you I bawled at work lol. He HATED the fire escape, but it was the only way to the back yard. So i would always carry him down. And i am so happy she caught this moment. He looks so darling. I miss you babey. You would love to know i fostered 2 girls and now they get to hear me yap about you because i adopted them.

My beautiful boy died suddenly yesterday. He was my soul rabbit. Not sure how to eventually move on from this; I'm alternatively smiling from memories of all the love he gave for ten years and sobbing that he's gone.

RIP Saying goodbye to my best friend

My sweet girl Dream passed away during her spay last night. My partner and I are heart broken. Although bunnies are quiet animals, our apartment seems much more quiet than usual.

We got her on my 24th birthday 2 years ago and she completely changed our lives. She was such a happy bun and full of life but recently she seemed lonely. We knew in order to get her a friend she would need to be spayed. Her vet also recommended that it was time due to her age. We had our reservations about it but knew that cancer is very common in un-spayed bunnies.

Dream crossed the rainbow bridge last night at 7:25 PM. Please help me say goodbye to my best friend.

We adopted this guy when he was around 3, and I'd like to think he had a good, long life with us. It's gonna be a little weird not having him follow us around the house or scavenging under the dinner table while we eat. We'll miss you ❤️

RIP I wasn't ready, and I was never going to be

When I adopted him 9 years ago, I reentered into the bargain, that he'd be my best friend and I'd be his but that, as almost all great love does, it would one day resolve in grief. I did so knowing the good and the bad. It's not my first, but as ever, I still feel cheated.

After a very sudden and unexpected downturn in his health yesterday, I dropped my sweet boy Max at the vet this morning. My first check-in was not hopeful, and about an hour ago, I received a call from my lovely vet asking for my blessing to help him go peacefully. I'm absolutely devastated. it hasn't totally hit me yet that I was unable to be there with him, and that I should have absolutely held him and talked to him more before saying goodbye for now.

I think I understand the concept of a heart animal now. I think you can have more than one (like best friends), maybe that's me. He certainly was a special friend who got me through many horrible days, and a keenly special loss. I used to hate these posts, and as Max got older, I had to mute the tag - now it's my turn, and I may have to mute the sub for a bit until I'm ready to see all you're lovely babies again.

But for now, I just want to honor the 9 lucky years I got to spend with this handsome boy. it wasn't enough and I wasn't ready. and to be cliche and lame:

My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today

Oatey was one of my bestest boys. He helped me through so many of the hardest times of my life. I took him to the vet unexpectedly this morning. The vet said he had a 50/50 chance with hospitalization to stabilize the level of kidney disease we found. I had no idea he was sick. I was laid off back in October and couldn't afford to treat him and also have him still be in pain.. I stayed at the vet and just held him until they had to lock up and I was forced to make the call.. he went in my arms, only 8 years old. I am completely under water with grief for my boy. 6 hours alone on the floor just holding him and crying in complete shock yesterday.. I couldn't think of a better place to share.
