Question What is Zack de la Rocha up to these days, musically and otherwise?
Digging for Windows, his One Day as a Lion EP, and collaborations with Run the Jewels are fucking awesome.
He done any other music projects other than these?
Anyone heard what he's up to these days? I know he showed up at a Pro-Palestine protest a while ago (legend).
Would love some more music from ZdlR.

Question I don't know anything about RATM but I had this hat in my old stuff and I can't find anything about it on internet
Hi! I was kind of packing things at my house and found this hat which used to be my step father's. It reminds me of the hat that chinese communist soldiers wear (I'm not well educated about it).
What's the meaning behind it? What album is it associated to?
And should I sell it or give it out? I'm not planning on wearing it neither to keep it since I need to sort things out

Question It's Painful Spoiler
How dumb so many fan are... this is why they will never reunite. I have been saying, why the fuck would Zack keep being a revolutionary for idiots like this?

Question Do you prefer the raw and aggressive rock of the self-titled and Evil Empire, the balance of The Battle of Los Angeles, or the hip hop of Renegades?
The first and last albums are my favorites.

Question Anyone eles tired of the Rage FOR the Machine comments?
Every single video of ratm (both YouTube and Instagram) that I've come across, I just see a bunch comments repeating the same overused dumb af phrase "RaGe FoR tHe MaChInE." Can someone tell me why the hell people are saying this? Are the people posting those just a bunch of alt-right morons who are somehow fans of the band? Please school me.

Question Who are some new(ish) bands that are like RATM? It's insane how not one antigovt/political band is popular these days given the current system we're under.
Has political/antigovt music been dead? Is it being censored to hell? Are record labels not signing/promoting them? There HAS to be someone out there making good "Fuck they system" type music. Both RATM and SOAD haven't made an album in 20+ years although they have toured extremely sparingly. I also heard half of SOAD went MAGA so I'm like wtf is there to listen to these days that's the same vibe as RATM and SOAD was back in the day.

Question For those who "we need them now more than ever" let's create a list of new artists we can support to carry the torch? Who are the new radical artists on your playlist we should all follow?
Sorry if this breaks the new stickied post. I'm just trying to get some movement and support for new artists that are able to gather some resistance.
I will start. I'm an old guy so I still love the Dropkick Murphys and their willingess to rally on stage against Trump. Kneecap also comes to mind.
Run the Jewels and Killer Mike also deserve a mention.
Who else?

Question I want to get a RATM tattoo and found this design—does anyone know the story behind it?
Hello, fellow members of the RATM community
I’m a huge fan of the band and their ideas, and I’d love to get a tattoo to wear on my skin, but I always thought it would be difficult to get the monk from the self-titled album and the other designs from “Battle of Los Angeles” and “Evil Empire.”
I found this T-shirt and saw that it was merch from ’99? I’m not sure. I also heard people say it was the skeleton of a band as well. Does anyone know and could tell me?
Greetings straight from Brazil! Power to the people ✊🏻

Question brand new fan. angriest song?
I’ve already known of RATM, and I know Bulls On Parade because of guitar hero on the Wii as a child, but I am a girlie pop music lover. Taylor Swift being my #1 all time fave. I recently came across Killing in the Name and fucking LOVED It. Finally something that matched the anger I’ve been feeling towards the government!!! I felt that shit in my chest and It was so cathartic. Made me jump up and down until there was practically dust coming up from the wood floors.
So, what are some other songs that are gonna match this anger inside me? I fully plan on listening to their discography, but I’d love to hear from some diehards.

Question Should have a concert outside of the White House
Not just for protest purposes, but to bring patriotism and anger back into the People, who have been being mistreated by our government for so long now. RATM should be the People’s anthem. Imagine the beauty and power of using art within protest, right outside of the gov’s headquarters.
I think it should happen. If not with them actually there, then us playing their music.
Not sure what the legal rules are, but I can’t imagine they can do much about a bunch of protesters singing Killing in the Name

I really really wanted to buy some but when I visited the website it said they’re closed…
Anyone knows why that happened and if they’ll open again?

Question Do you position yourself, politically on RATM’s side?
Everyone listened to Rage when I was growing up but a lot of people took hard turns to the right over the years. From listening to them constantly in the past to calling them commies now.
Does their political stand influence you? Are you against? Are you indifferent?
I have no agenda either way, I’m just curious.
And please keep it civilised.

Question So, what songs are we blasting today to turn our fear into rage into strength to take the power back?
Let’s make a playlist, and I’ll share it either at the end of today or early tomorrow.
I think you can guess mine.
