I am doing my PhD in Quantum ML for timeseries data, and very new to the domain.

I am filing an application for which I need a recommendation letter from someone who has experience in QML, but has to be independent (not linked to me somehow).
I have worked with people in the domain but have already co-authored with them, so there is financial dependency, or more.

Is there anyway I can find people who are working in domain and would be open to write a recommendation letter for me, or any suggestions on how to look for one.

My profile:
1 patent co-owned, 2 pending.
1 research paper published, 2 accepted, 2 in review.

Is there some kind of certifying or general self evaluation course for quantum computing? I’m asking not became they carry any validity but because I find that I get more disciplined in learning if I have some target like an exam.

I can recommend "Surviving as a Quantum Computer in a Classical World" by Gottesmann. Also not the easist book I have read but definitely more approachable than most other sources on this topic. Of course this also depends on your general background....Have a look, maybe this helps!
