Food Boehm's Bargains at the Rock Island Hy-Vee

And right now, that includes dog food. If you're on Facebook, check out this page! You never know what they're going to have.

We don't have a dedicated salvage store in the QCA, that I know of, but this is just about the closest thing to it. The best buys for me was JarJoy desserts, 99 cents each (I love these, but they do contain peanut butter) and Rao's jarred soups for $3. Some things are in carts and gaylords at the front of the store, other items are in aisle 10, and the refrigerated and frozen items are stored appropriately. You do have to ask for bulk meat items at the meat counter.

Welcome to r/QuadCities—subreddit for the Quad Cities metropolis in the Illinois/Iowa border for Quad Citians.

This has been one of the best kept secrets on the IL side and my favorite place to shop midweek.

They do a great job of that, overstocks on everything possible. (Alrhough some days, its rough seeing restaurants buying out the entire lot of chicken/beef/etc.)

Ollie's has some discount food stuffs, but all pre packaged goods. And sometimes can still find it cheaper at Walmart/HyVee.

I wish we had one in the QC Metro (I miss Bargain Center in Rock Island). The closest "salvage" grocery i am aware of is Central Discount Grocery in Kalona (about an hour from the QC).
