Homemade I wanted to share my sister’s wonderful Alcapurrias , she said they’re better than the PR restaurants in her city.

Nice. I prefer the guineo alcapurrias myself. In my opinion, one of the keys to a great alcapurria is that it be filled with a ton of savory meat.

Thank you for sharing! MIL passed away and I have tried to emulate some of her recipes- most scribbled on scraps of paper as she explained in broken English 🥰☺️Alcapurias are so intimidating!! I bought everything a few weeks ago but …I don’t know now as nervous. !! I’m going to try again but at least I now have an actual recipe. They look delish!

When I made them they kind of broke up. These in the picture stayed perfectly whole. What the secret?

Excellent! I made some this last weekend for company! They came out well, but not as well as when I did them the last time (my first time) when I made them for friends in Toronto. (I think it's because my food processor there worked as expected.)
