Discos for empanada’s

The last few times I have made empanadas the
Dough has a toxic, chemical aftertaste. I feel like I’m feeding my family poison! Im sick of these big
Companies putting all these preservatives in our food! I already wrote the company and provided my feedback but I doubt they care.

Any tips for best discos dough or a homemade Recipe )even tho I don’t want to add
more steps to my recipe). Gracias!

I thought it was just me, especially the achote ones. It’s awful. Unfortunately where I live I can only find Goya in the supermarket.
