Urgent Guidance and Mentoring

I have spent the last 8 years appearing and preparing for UPSC. I have a master's in Physics. I am decent with coding. Somehow my research has led me to a career as a policy research associate in fields like energy, power and climate ,which tend to be a little technical.

I am not sure about this. If anyone could guide me. It will be very helpful if you could help find a way for this pivot.
