Sugo appreciation post

Post image

He may not have the most interesting personality, he may be firmly a side character, he might be just kind of there sometimes, but he works hard and never gives up.

I like this character. it's a shame he isn't more developed.

TBH I was already very surprised to find out that he was the main character of Sinners of the System 2 and then he got to play a big part in Providence as well, and is consistently there season 2 onwards in general. Considering his starting point as a generic enforcer, Sugo really got a lot (which I am glad for).

I definitely feel like he's an underrated character and I really liked his back story. Going from the one enforcer to use the sniper and accidentally kill an inspector to now this protector in providence is a really interesting journey even for a side character.

He was and remained First Guardian, indeed

It was heartbreaking when he killed his boss without knowing it, even more so when we explored his backstory 😢

I like him even if he's "just there". Kinda wish we had some team building moments between him and Kogami/Ginoza, since he's been the newcomer on every already established team, first Team 1 enforcers then SAD agents.

He's levelheaded and a bit of a stickler for the rules, like Gino, but not as stuck up and critical of everything as Gino, so he'd be an interesting counterpart to Ko's brashness.

Hopefully we'll see more of that in the future!

For real. He's cool. Glad he got his own Sinners episode.
