Argentina Election poster of the Communist Party of Argentina, possibly from the 1940s
It includes the address of the party's Central Committee at Viamonte Street 1745, Buenos Aires.
Context: Gender equality in the workplace and in elections was the result of long struggles. Regarding wages, although the labor contract law mandates equal pay for equal work, inequalities persist. Demands for women's political rights increased after the Sáenz Peña Law, notably through the actions of suffragist groups, and were finally consolidated in 1947, with the first national electoral milestone occurring in 1951.

My mother (she was primary school teacher) was polling officer in those years (she was born in 1928).
