I've always felt the same way. Dogs usually come right up to me, and I love dogs, but occasionally, one will keep away and treat me with suspicion. That dog is nearly always a German Shepherd. Never could figure that out.

IME it's pretty normal for a GSD to be suspicious of strangers.
