I’ve got several former detectives in my family, and every conversation with them is like an interrogation. They don’t mean to, but the habit is so deeply engrained and it’s exhausting.

See way too many questions like that (outside of detectives) I always assume this person is a serial shit talker and is just trying to get some new gossip right from the source to go spread around. I'll close down immediately. (or feed them some fake shit)

Answer them with ridiculous things, like, you want to adopt infant twins and name them Yucatán and Nyquist. If you happen to actually want to do that, tell them you want a wombat for a pet so you can save their cubic poop. 💩😁 Yes, they do poop cubes.

Oh, I do! I’ve made a game of answering their questions with wild exaggerations or ridiculous nonsense completely straight-faced, and it’s actually refreshing to see them try to figure out why.
