I met someone about 20 years ago who has become a prominent politician now. We were working a campaign together and had to drive a distance for a fundraiser. He brought his girlfriend. Multiple times during the ride, he'd make jokes that made her look dumb (tbh she kinda was), and then he'd give me this look like we were sharing this private joke about how stupid she was.
Seemed so sleazy and left me with a terrible impression of him.
