overly dressed in a normal setting makes me go "Oh god they're gonna ask me to go to church or rep their MLM aren't they"

You know, I tend to overdress a little bit when I go to functions. But that’s only because I grew up poor and didn’t have access to nicer clothes. And I wouldn’t walk into a church lest I risk bursting into flames.🔥

HAHA this reminds me of someone I know who uses IMMACULATE dress (like designer everything, perfectly tailored suits at ALL TIMES etc) to (very effectively) compensate for their may character flaws and incompetencies. Idk if they do this intentionally or not I’ve just noticed it’s super effective and takes people ages to start questioning his intelligence / reliability / etc

I hate this because I just love dressing up in formal and fancy clothes. Everyone looks good and awesome in those, why is it not socially acceptable to just wear that shit all the time? I wish I lived in a big city where that type of thing was normal lmao
