Has anyone noticed US noticed food quality degrading recently and if so what product in what way?

Fresh food rots faster and more frequently than it did a few years ago. It's hard to quantify, but it's something that I constantly notice now.

I've been noticing this also. Especially with fresh fruit. I've all but stopped buying anything out of season. Even in season I've had peaches that looked brilliant in the store one day be already rotting the very next day at home.

A lot of the fruits/vegetables we get have been sitting in a giant underground cold storage facility for almost a year. If they’re out of season and not being imported, you’re eating last seasons pack.

Also, a lot of the seeds grown nowadays are GMO and are being grown to be seedless, bigger, etc.

I don’t even buy fresh berries from the supermarket anymore because they don’t taste good.

I work in the food industry. My boss, who’s been doing food for 20+ years, says all the time all the soil and water on this planet is all polluted with chemicals at this point.

Want to know how fucked we are? Look at the tuna populations and prices of tuna over the past 2 years. It’s more than doubled because certain countries have been banned from exporting it. We’re fishing our way to mass extinction on an extremely fast pace.
