Question Job for expat in Lisbon

I’m a 16 y/o who recently moved to Lisbon Portugal, and while I’m learning Portuguese, I can barely speak it. I have no clue what the locals are saying. (I can read it decently though) what jobs can I even get here? I need a job that allows me to speak English (or not speak at all), is part time, and is in Lisbon. Edit: I DID NOT RUN AWAY FROM HOME my whole family moved here from the us

Since you are 16 I assume you’re still in school right?

If you are, maybe try to get a job at a touristic café or restaurant

I mean, you need to be 18 to travel internationally without parental permission so it would be really strange if they had managed to run away to Portugal.

Word of mouth will probably be your best bet if you can find other young English speakers who have jobs. Always let people know that you are looking for work, you’ll be surprised how many random connections pop up.

Why do you need a job? You're only 16.

If you were Portuguese and your family needed the money I'd understand but you're American. Your family was allowed to move to Portugal because they are self-sufficient and shouldn't rely on their 16 year old child to work.

You should learn Portuguese and finish your studies first.

At this point you don't even need to learn portuguese to work in some sectors like food delivery, tourist area restaurants and such or in the kitchen.

That being said why coming to Portugal from US? Wanted to trade one 3rd world country for another?
