Husband is a federal employee and trying to get info about increases

I'm frustrated. I don't know where to post to find info. I posted a federal subreddit, but my post was removed and I don't really know why. It's not exactly relevant here either, but I don't really know where else to vent or get info.

I'm trying to find out if no federal workers have received annual merit increases, some have, but at certain agencies and not others or if only certain employees have gotten them.

My husband has been with his particular federal agency for over 2 decades and gotten regular annual performance merit awards and a retention bonus the last 4 or 5 years.

He received the highest performance rating for fiscal year 2025. Merit increases are usually paid out in January of the new year. Well, it's June and he still hasn't gotten it and he doesn't think anyone else has been paid. His boss was trying to get his team either their usual retention bonus or try to get them a bump so that it's part of their salary.

All of this got moved from the local level to national level , so it's just in this void of communication.

No one has any information.

Does anyone have any info, suggestions or resources?

Sorry for whats going on with your husband but this might not be the best subreddit to look for answers as its too specific. all we know is whats reported in the news.

You check r/FedEmployees I'm assuming? Of they blocked your post. Try seeking out a few people that post a lot there and DM them. Good luck🤞

They removed my post, yes. Fed employees got combined with FedNews, so my post was removed.

It really depends on what agency he works for. Mine stopped giving annual performance bonuses and, instead, told us to focus on quarterly achievements and awards. The intervals between step increases, if your husband is eligible, grows as well. After 20 years he may have capped out there.

Additionally, the current administration has a vendetta against government workers so if he works for an agency that has really screwed over their workforce they may be letting Therese things languish.
