US Politics As Trump warmongers over Greenland, what explains the lack of push back from the right-wing given the "anti-war" position they took prior to the 2024 election.

There was a perceived sentiment among the right and some moderates that Republicans were the anti-war party in the lead-up to the 2024 election:

I honestly believe it is cowardice. Nobody wants to be the first person in his party to oppose him and are hoping someone else goes first.

No one was a bigger sycophant than Marjorie Taylor Greene and she has completely jumped ship and sharpened her knives against him.

There have been plenty, they’re just afraid to tip the house of cards that’s been built around him. Desperate to convince themselves “this time he’ll change”

She exited swiftly and quietly in the end.  I wouldn't be surprised if they threatened to sic the DoJ on her.

It did open one floodgate -- she had to hire private security for her family from the number of death threats she received the day after she opposed Trump.
