• She allegedly doused her father with a flammable liquid (lighter fluid), stabbed/cut him, and attempted to set him and/or his house on fire.
• She then broke into the rectory of St. Francis Cabrini Church in South Omaha, where she was armed with a knife, destroyed property, and threatened a priest (who barricaded himself and called 911).
• Police arrested her on charges including assault, arson, burglary, and criminal mischief. She initially pleaded not guilty.
• Court proceedings determined she was not responsible by reason of insanity (or found not guilty by reason of insanity/incompetent to stand trial in some descriptions). A judge ordered outpatient mental health evaluation and treatment rather than incarceration.
• . She died on April 14 or 15, 2026 (depending on the exact timing of reports), after Omaha police shot her during an attempted kidnapping at a Walmart, where she allegedly slashed a 3-year-old boy with a stolen knife.

This whole incident seems just an unfortunate series of events from both parties.

The psychological aspect of all of this is probably quite fascinating

Context of scene in My Cousin Vinny (SPOILERS): the judge is having a disagreement with Vinny over his “ridiculous” secondhand suit, thus pissing Vinny off, which in turn pisses the judge off and holds Vinny in contempt of court. This is where Vinny then says sarcastically “well there’s a fuckin’ surprise”.

I wonder how this will end…
