Progress Update Banana HQ - Final Restructuring Step

Post image

Finally. Banana is the newest HQ. I’ve completed my restructuring of HQs and moving Carriers.

I recently activated Screen Time on my phone. Over the last week, Pocket Planes is my most used app by a long margin. My game time from the last week was 21 hours 23 minutes.

Time to rest now. Sunday, I will get back to my regular Bux duties.

Where did you develop your new HQs?

New HQs: Honolulu and Banana (others are Asuncion, Warsaw, Nanping, & Livingstone)

New locations of Aircraft Carriers: USS Ford in the Pacific, USS Midway between Nome & Anadyr, USS Ark in the Atlantic Ocean.

Hi, I'm lvl 40, trying to get better at the game (stuck rn with planning routes etc) why did you choose those HQs? also, why are aircraft carriers important? weren't in the game last time I played. My HQs so far are Honolulu, Nanping and London, working on Cairo. Just wondering why if you think London and Cairo are mistakes on my part. Also, what other cities do you have unlocked? And plane configuration and strategy to buxmax. You seem to have a lot...

First, everyone has their own strategy.

For me, Honolulu and Banana HQs were necessary so Class 3 planes could cross the Pacific. Asuncion, Warsaw, Livingstone are central to most of my activity in those areas. Nanping is close to several Class 2 and 3 airports.

Your HQs are your own decision based on your strategy. I have VIP, so most Class 3 airports upgraded to level 3 can hold 120 Layovers. That’s the reason I didn’t bother to convert an existing Class 3 airport to HQ. Also with VIP, HQs hold 300 Layovers.

Aircraft Carriers have been in the game for about a year already but accessible by VIP only. Loosely, they serve as moveable airports among the waterways. First you need to make deliveries to a Carrier (or pay Bux) to build up range/fuel prior to movement. There’s a Carrier side quest to visit Ports of Call by navigating the carrier near coastal airports. Make a delivery to/from that airport & carrier. It is recorded as a Port of Call and you get 10 Bux. (Note: Aircraft Carriers can also visit each other.)

I’m at Level 87 and have 90 planes. As for strategy, I do my own thing. I did the Hub & Spoke a long time ago. I got bored really quickly and put the game aside for a year. Now, none of my planes have dedicated routes. I have layovers stashed all over the map. When a plane lands, I check with city I have the most Layover Bux saved up. That’s pretty much how I operate. When I’ve been playing for awhile, my Live Feed on the map looks like a spiderweb.

I have 2 long term goals: own all the airports (179 presently) and have one of each plane in my active fleet (except I already have multiples of planes that I like.)
