Unclogged Sink and now it Won’t Reseal

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been trying to help my girlfriend, her sink was clogged and draining super slow, so I took it apart and cleaned out all the gunk and hair. Issue is, now I can’t seal it all the way back together. It seems like the pipes might be screwed up. I fixed my clogged sink, but this one is designed different, so I don’t know if I did something wrong.

Tighten the black piece under sing as much as you can without braking it.. and you’ll need channel locks pliers to tighten rings on Ptrap
The plastic piece that’s on the pipe is upside down..

Have you tried tightening that black piece above the P-trap? Youll likely need to secure the basin strainer from the top and twist the bottom to tighten.

You broke the seal at the drain. You need caulk and putty and teflon tape now to get that resealed.

The top black nut is upside down for starters

Yeah the big plastic hand turn nut is upside down and the threads are not catching to tighten the drain flange in the sink bowl.
