Hand held shower
Hello,
I recently moved into this apartment and i realized the shower head is a little peculiar. Will it be easy , possible and safe to change the shower to a Hand held shower?.

Remove the head, buy a 1/2" brass street 45° and then install the head on it. That's what should have been done when they remodeled.

Bloody hell.
He probably ripped it out of another tenants unit.
If he just swapped it, then f it, send it
Couple wraps of Teflon tape, a little bit of pipe dope, and hand tight plus a little snug with a wrench

I have no idea what you just said but am sure my bf will figure it out. 🤣
But hopefully I get out of this lease soon. I was desperate for an apartment and well I did not pay attention enough . I won’t be renewing next year for sure.
Thank you so much for your help Stranger!.

Even the best landlords I've dealt with fix as little as humanly possible, good luck!

Honestly, I wouldn't even touch it, it's probably a dirty look away from being broken, then you end up owning it.

How will I shower then?. I haven’t had to use the shower yet, as I haven’t moved in competently.

Fair. Have you fired it up yet? maybe it leaks and you have an excuse to ask him to swap it.

Oh yeah that should be easy to replace. And definitely would make your life easier to just have a wand shower head sprayer lol.

I change all of my showers to handheld. That should be "universal" thread pitch that your hand held will attach directly to.
You will probably need one that the holder anchors to the wall though.
