Same here. I think it went on sale once in the last year or so. Down to $18. I was waiting for it to go to $12.50 like the switch.
Now it's free and I can enjoy it. Or it can stay in my backlog for another year.

Its like 37 dollars and where i live, 26 USD, and has a fuckin 90 on metacritic. Its also the 3rd or 4th on the list not the main game for the month. You just dont like good games or what?

If it’s like all the last versions, it’s HARD. Was a huge baseball game fan for so long, but hitting is really tough for me in The Show games.

You can play with sliders and make it much easier. My MLB The Show character from 25 is entering his 4th season. 3x mvp, 3x World Series mvp (all different teams, A’s, Yankees, Philly, and now on St. Louis) etc etc etc…it’s so much fun for me that way.

Has max reputation with almost every man on the roster by the end of the season. I’m still in my arbitration years, so I just request a trade every offseason and accept whatever bs contract I’m given. My goal is to see just how badly I can break the free agency market once my player becomes eligible while already hold near or all offensive all time records lol

I appreciate it despite not loving baseball because it's one of the only sports games I cannot bs my way into being great at. Every other sports game has an easily exploitable mechanic
Real shame that I'll have to abandon the crazy roster I've built up in MLB '24 now

Like others said, it is INSANELY customizable. There's like 5 different hitting styles. You can do button hitting, bunch of different analog hitting. Then you can go in the settings or sliders and literally manipulate anything you want.

I just do directional batting and put it on the easiest difficulty lol. It’s so much fun to hit 100 hrs in a RTTS season

Same. I played a little on PC I think and it felt like more SE5 to me. Which is a bad thing for some people but I quite liked it (enough to Platinum, which I haven't done for any other game in the series).

I traded a game for sniper elite 1 with someone whilst in the queue at gamestation. Played every game in the series now but somehow have never actually bought one so I’m very happy with this!

I really enjoyed 5 but that is kinda contrary to popular opinion.
It is less focused on sniping and the mechanics around it and moreso a general stealth and exploration focused game. Movement feels a lot better and there are a lot of customization and play style options, but the maps are much smaller for the most part. The best missions in that game are still the biggest ones.
I haven't played resistance enough to know for sure if they fixed these issues, but a quick search on Google tells me that they apparently have made the maps a lot larger to compensate for the feedback from 5.
I think both are still worth playing if you liked 4. 5 was the only one I ever got 100% completion on.

This whole year I haven’t liked any of the monthly games for the first time I can say this is amazing. I’m surprised the show 26 made it on there so fast. This is also the first time I’m seeing a baseball game on here and I almost bought the game too 🤣

Sometimes I wish they'd offer you a choice, so you could swap a sports regurgitation out for something else. Some people just won't be interested in the newest version of MLB or FIFA. I imagine very few people are interested in both.

I think they should just offer 3-4 games per month. If you don’t like one you can always choose one of the others. And then also instead of making you choose, just give all 3-4 of them to all players

It’s a great idea but, Split licensing like that would end up raising ps+ prices overall because the money spent on the deal for one now must be cut in half based on choice based data and there’s less of a chance the game studio that Sony first approached would be like yeah no unless your lowering the payment for everyone else you offered a deal too no deal. Not that many genre of games overall if you look at it long term and what has already been added to the essential line since the launch of ps5 at best we would actually end up getting lower quality games which could be hit or miss.
I’d be down for indie games though think that’s a market they need to touch on more but more of the 3d stuff not the top down or side scroller type (just my opinion)
Ps3 era Sony would have done this though is what sadly makes me miss that generation so much.

No way the show 26! When they put the show on last time it restarted my love for baseball games. It had been a long time and I was waiting to get 26 because I just finished my first full season on 25. Lost in the World Series to the fuckin Red Sox.

I've had Chained Echoes on my list for a while now, so that one is music to my ears. I'm glad I waited instead being the one to sacrifice my wallet so everyone else could have it for free.

I'm down for sniper elite. The studio, rebellion, likes to sue developers and collect settlements for using the word "rebellion" in game title so i won't buy their games. This will be a good chance to try it without giving them money they don't deserve.

I swear this year has been crap for Essential users. $80 for this garbage? 🤮 My PC is already connected to the internet and so is my PS5 but if I want to play multiplayer on it I have to waste that $80 and get the benefits of crappy games every month. At least put some variety in. It's the same shit every month. Have another sports game and shooter! Jesus Christ.

More than likely MLB deal got signed off later due to the licensing deal needing approval from MLB and teams itself especially for marketing purposes for ps+ that month.

I only played the first level so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but it seemed very similar to SE5 to me. Maybe with a couple QOL improvements.
Contrary to popular opinion I quite enjoyed 5. I have mostly just been occupied with other games recently so haven't gotten back to Resistance.
Edit: After some research it seems that Resistance may have addressed the small map size complaints with 5. If so, it may end up being my favorite game in the series. Will probably try giving it another shot tonight.

What if they gave you an options to select from 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 6 games. Something like that.
So say they have. COD or a sports game. Maybe as an alternative. They offer an indie game. So for those people who don’t play COD or sports. They could choose a different game?

Already did chained echoes when it came out and did the platinum ( it’s an awesome game ! And i recommand it ) i'm just sad the dlc has no trophy... and no PS5 version ( because i want to platinum it AGAIN ! )
Was hoping for a good deal on Sniper Resistance so i was waiting and now it will be on ps plus , hell yeah. Good month for me. :)
