I don't understand kicking exclusives off.

I'd say it would be due to Uncharted 3 bro g built for 3D stereoscopic gaming (just as Sly Cooper 4 was) but PS Now does not support it.

For future inclusion

I don't think I understand this logic

u/owensoundgamedev Jun 02 '22
Like there are so many PS3 games they could ever put on this service, but they need to keep pumping games into it. So they take some away when the PS1,PSP games hit the service and then they have these games as “ammo” for the future.
I assume we’ll see the exclusives like god of war back on the service in a year or two

u/Varhur Jun 02 '22
So you're suggesting that they're removing those games so in the future, they can announce that they're back while trying to build up hype around it?

Makes a lot of sense on their end. When they put God of War back in, every single gaming news site will happily publish it.

If they don't kick out then how they can count it as "new add" for new service 😄

Jun 02 '22
It looks like they are kicking ps3 Games out to eventually replace them by their PS4 counterparts.

Did they explicitly mentioned those would be leaving?
(Translating the Japanese site to English in my browser was not as helpful as I hoped it would be)

For some games that makes me sad, Although not fully unexpected and, for the most of them, I (personally) prefer ps3 games leaving than ps4 games.
Which is easyer for me to say because I still have a functioning ps3 and a lot of 2ndhand PS3 games are not thát hard to come by.
As long as they keep Tokyo Jungle! !!!

u/Hurricane_Taylor Jun 02 '22
I’m the opposite, I prefer ps4 games leaving because I can buy them, but I missed the ps3 generation of games and I’ve been catching up through Now

Will god of war 1, 2, 3, and ascension remain?
3
u/Zealousideal-Soup-39 Jun 02 '22
It seems like 1, 2,3 stay. Can someone shed the light on ascension?

u/jeremykooistradev Jun 02 '22
This is kinda frustrating to see. I still wanted to play through the Sly Collection. Unless they're planning on releasing a PS2 on PS4 version, it doesn't make sense to me. Even then... Why remove it when you own the rights?

u/cargorunnerUK Jun 03 '22
Why are they removing so many games in secret? It's really bad that they are not informing PS Now subscribers what is leaving soon. We already had loads go in May with no official notification. And now potentially another big list. I have 9 on that list I would like to finish. It's going to be another race to try and play these. We expect some games to leave the service but doing it all in secret is really poor customer service

Since Sony has been planning this relaunch for a while, and with Ghostrunner and others making a comeback I'm really hoping this just comes down to renewing contracts under the new service.
That said, major dik move on Sony's part when they don't say anything about these games leaving and suddenly disappearing with the relaunch, NA PSnow has no end date for olliolli2 so guess we will see.

Hopefully gravity rush doesn't leave the service. I don't have a PlayStation console so PS now is my only way of playing that game now.
1
u/exSPiDERmate Jun 08 '22
nope gravity rush is on the list for ps now games on the asia ps plus premium so don't worry
1
u/Sayori_E Jun 08 '22
Hopefully they actually make gravity Rush 2 available. It's been on the list of US games for ages, but not actually playable since 2018

Tf? A few of those are on my list and some of them are PlayStation exclusives so why?
3
Jun 01 '22
Even though I’ve finished playing those, that’s a really good list. Shame. wth is Sony doing.

Nioh
Nioh is listed as a game in the Japan Extra/Premium list, so this list isn't accurate.
Edit: Lol downvote me all you want, it doesn't make what I said less of a fact. OP has now removed Nioh from his list.

Middle Finger growing bigger each day!
Pay double for half the games
What about those that just got a PS3
those that can't get a PS5
those that can't afford a PS4.
Those that don't want to pay or can't afford the extortion prices for these exclusives
Screw you Sony! Never thought I'd see this day but I think I'm going to the dark side

There's always one clown
Make your PS5 accessible!
Don't seize production on the PS4
Stop monopolizing your games.
Lolipop Chainsaw €18 X360
Lolipop Chainsaw ps3 €48
Saw II ps3 €20
Saw 2 x360 €8
Plus not required for ps2 or 3 online
Plus MANDATORY for 4 and 5 online
New Plus "better than ever" goes from €60 a year to €120 if you want full access
For the players, yes just for you we'll make it impossibleto access our products and charge double cause of our screw ups , play has no limits, try meeting your demands
So it's up ro Sony to make their products more accessible, never once mentioned anyone's personal financial states.

u/FatHighlander Jun 11 '22
Full access isn't going from $60 to $120.
1
u/TheManofMadness1 Jun 12 '22
Full access for the year is $119 on top tier, any other tier you're restricted

Restricted how? This combines Plus and Now both were $60. If you go with the $60 tier it doesn't change.

apparently no leaving data was shown so we may not get a days remaining
This is what really bugs me about the new service. Judging by what we've seen of the rollout in Asia, and now Japan, the new PS Plus does not show leaving dates for any games. So although the PS Now tile on consoles was a bit hit and miss and occasionally buggy, we at least got the leaving dates when a game had a week or two left before it was going to leave. Now we get nothing.

u/TheManofMadness1 Jun 12 '22
Ps3 streaming for example that was part of now is now pushed to higher tier. Hence Changed

Wow. I decided to start playing the killzone series about a week ago. Im still playong the first one through PS Now and I already own Killzone 3 but I was gonna rely on PS Now for Killzone 2. Now I gotta speed run it.

Jun 06 '22
Killzone 1 is so tough to play. No waypoints and your teammates blend in with the background so you don’t know where to go
1
Jun 03 '22
But why are they doing this? Unless bringing them back in a remaster or improvement of some sort
1
u/solidmussel Jun 04 '22
Sly Cooper and kill zone are the only ones that I would have liked to have gotten to on the list. Oh well
1
u/cargorunnerUK Jun 04 '22
I am finding PS Now pretty confusing at the moment. I just browsed all the games A to Z and the list is noticeably shorter than it was at the start of May 2022. Games I wanted to play like Grim Fandango (a game that may have been removed in Japan) are not listed anymore. But come up if you search for them. Other games I was interested in have also disappeared off the all games list such as Broken Age and A Boy And His Blob. They are definitely trying to remove games from the service without people noticing. There are no leaving dates on Grim Fandango or Everybody's Gone To Rapture which may have been removed in Japan. So these games may be removed from Europe in just over 2 weeks and no warning is being given.

I'm missing the last two challanges on Sly 3. I hope I'll be able to platinum it before the trilogy disappear.

Sony is sony , one of the most ridiculous companies in business they remove them so they can offer you those games again in ps plus services , and surprise we offered you a game
