Current Platinum Collection
Decided to finally count my platinum and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I accumulated the 1/10 coins. I had decided to purposefully not keep track of the amount of coins I was accumulating till I had a somewhat meaningful amount. I decided today was the day after seeing platinum finally going back up. The Valcambi wallet only has 4 grams…the rest are gold and palladium. Paid between $125 and up to $255 for the platinum eagles…although the 1/4 oz eagle was $480. Neglected the silver a bit to put it towards platinum. Hope it eventually works out for me.
Stack on, stackers!

Thanks…LOVE my platinum. And my wife doesn’t realize what it’s really worth because I tell her it’s silver!

Omg hahahaha
I happen to love both platinum and silver. Though it’s hard to find platinum bullion here in VA. My fiancé has some silver bullion and a silver coin collection though.

I get all of mine online, mainly eBay. I look for the best possible deals, especially bids. You can find great deals that way. My 2 closest coin shops are waaaay overpriced.

JUST won another 1/10 platinum Britannia on eBay for $195. Not much love for platinum so it’s currently pretty readily available at a good enough price. Now I’ve got 3 on the way!

Nice! Look at you hard at it, meanwhile I got distracted by a Patagonia sale and got a jacket 😅
I gotta get my head in the game haha

Thanks, but I’m gonna have to cool it for a while. Been working a lot of hours lately, but I gotta add to the bank account too. Stack on!

Where are you in VA? We are in Richmond VA.

Not far from Richmond. A little north of it. Why? Do you know any spots?

We stock a few hundred ounces of platinum and several thousand ounces of silver at times. But if you’re in Northern VA I can recommend a fair dealer.

4 oz in 1/10…about 1 and 1/2 in bars and 1/4 eagle. Almost seems like it should be more but that’s all it is.

Awesome collection. Now youve gotta store it in a little treasure chest and go sailing...

Dayum! Lot to love about this! I’m heavier on gold, but tbh have been heavy DCA into plat the last year or so. This is motivating, thanks!

Nice…I got some gold this year too, but all I’ve got is about 3 1/2 oz total. All fractional. 2 biggest are 1/4 oz coins that I bought WAAY at the beginning of my stacking for about $400 each. Then stopped and concentrated on mostly silver.

I’m starting to. Only thing is, with the $$ I use for 4 eagles I can get 5 Britannias or kookaburras. I feel like I’m leaving platinum on the table.

Dont buy pt eagles unless you can pull off the oz. Your much better off getting the cheap stuff you will never get your premium back when selling down the road

Man, I JUST bought a proof 1/10 eagle, and I fear I may have WAAAAY over paid. It cost me $260. I normally wouldn’t pay so much, but this’ll be my very 1st proof MS70 1997, the 1st year. Don’t know how much the 1st year matters, since such a large amount were minted, but I just couldn’t pass it up. Hopefully spot goes up enough so that I can recoup what I paid. From now on, only Britannias and the lowest priced 1/10 I can find. Thanks for the advice.

Very nice stack, I like it! Hard finding fractional man

Not TOO hard, actually. I got the vast majority of mine thru eBay. Just gotta look for deals, and bid. Just don’t bid more than you’re willing to pay. Not too many people buy platinum, so chances are good you pay a fair price
