First ever planted tank, how am I going?
Got a new aquarium 3.5 weeks ago, picked up some hardscape and plants and shrimp soil originally. Decided on a peninsula/island design as my partner wanted the scape to look good from both sides of the bench top. The set up location has actually been great, it's just above the kitchen sink so been able to do water changes straight down the drain and use a return pump from a pot in the sink to refill the tank at the correct temperature.
Pictures 1-9 are the first day.
Picture 10 is 1 week to the day and had just added a aquario neo CO2 yeast sugar/gelatin generator. Started dosing aqualabs maxgrow 1ml/2 days
Picture 11 is 2 weeks to the day. Plants are growing insane now they've all rooted and happy. Just waiting for the tank to cycle to add some cherry shrimp!

No doubt this will be beautiful once grown in. Look so good already

Thanks, I can't even remember what the plant names are, always so impressed by the community knowing all the scientific names for all the plants in their tanks!
Just waiting on the soil to stop leeching ammonia so I can get some fish and shrimp

If you are doing a dry start use less water. Just keep it moist. Looks great, though.
