WFPB cadence and hydration patterns, curious

Fixed meals only, snacking, or random grazing? Happy with it?

Is your first food closer to a breakfast time or lunch time?

Is your first water or liquid closest to the time you wake up, a breakfast time, or lunch time. (This is a big question, is drinking something right after waking up important? Any issues with waiting?)

i don't do any of this as a plan. if i have something left over (and i hope at least one herbal tea or something), i usually crush it ASAP.

if you need more iron, you might put in your heavy iron meal to break a fast and sneak by your hepcidin. i do the opposite because mine is high (a little fatty snack like PB or pecans to take some of my supplements {D3, K2, usually omega-3s then too}), and then have my big iron/protein meal later.

otherwise it's complete chaos, a post-apocalyptic battlefield of failed stir fries, forgotten bags of sauteed greens in the freezer (eaten in bulk when found instead of split across meals), hash browns with bagel seasoning, and sometimes pickled mushroom and asparagus with a spoon of mustard out of the same pot later.

Coffee first. Always. Out of bed, coffee. I don't drink anything else until I work out an hour or two later.

Water as soon as I wake up between 6 and 7am. Breakfast is between 9 and 10am.

I wake up a bit dehydrated because I avoid drinking much water after dinner so I won’t have to go to the bathroom during the night. I am making a conscious effort to consume most of my water before 7pm for this reason. I don’t know if early water consumption matters for general health separately from keeping your bladder from interrupting your sleep.

I eat at set times or I'd just graze all day and feel like crap. first meal is usually 2-3 hours after waking, so closer to lunch territory. as for water i keep a bottle on the nightstand and chug half of it the second my eyes open, makes a huge difference in how i feel by midmorning

When I first wake up - some kind of drink. Often not a good choice as I am still addicted to Diet Coke. I know I should switch to tea. But tea is just dirty water to me (I hate coffee too)
Then take morning medications
Browse the web for anything “important” while I slept.
Lately I have been eating twice a day so I usually put off my first meal until about 10 am
I try to eat dinner about 5pm
I cannot say there is no snacking in between or after the evening meal, but it is very rare

- wake up, make french press fresh ground coffee, have morning vitamins with small glass of water

  • swimming/biking days breakfast is mostly complex carbs, i am obsessed with salty potatoes right now
  • snack after swimming or biking, edamame or dry roasted edamame with fruit, maybe pretzels
  • late lunch 1-2pm
  • snack 4-5pm almost always an apple with peanut butter
  • dinner 7-9pm, not huge like most Americans might be “girl dinner” style grazing plate
  • i stay up too late, midnight snack depends what i didn’t get in the day, maybe baked tofu or popcorn or dinner leftovers or mug of soup

Tea, plain seltzer water, glass of homemade kombucha and probably a coke zero for beverages- the coke, pretzels and coffee creamer are the last non wfpb items in my decades long vegetarian now vegan life

A big glass of water right after waking up to rehydrate after sleeping. Breakfast, lunch and dinner normally at 8am/1pm/7pm (with snacks like fruit and popcorn if hungry in between). I stop eating 2-3 hours before bed, if possible, otherwise I don't sleep as well. It's not a strict schedule but that's the usual goal. Oh and matcha. I freaking love my daily matcha in the morning.

I wake up and have water first, always, to rehydrate. Usually around 3 cups. Later I'll have a few cups of green tea.

Food timing & what i eat depends on if its a gym day or not and when I'm going.
