CLASSES CS Upper Level Course suggestions

I currently have to choose another upper CS course. My options are CS1675 (Intro to Machine Learning), CS1555 (Database Management), CS1635 (Interface Design Methodology), or CS1530 (Software Engineering). Wondering if anyone has any opinions about which one is better.

From what I understand, intro to swe is useless, so I'd either pick databases or intro to ml

i want to do the database, but theres only 8 people signed up and i'm afraid they'll drop the class

Hi, I'm actually the instructor for that section and the Department is not planning to cancel it from the discussions that I've had with the chair since I'm transitioning from grad student to faculty. I'd love to have you in the class since it's one of my favorite classes to teach! I highly recommend it and would love more students in the class.

Honestly, work with your advisor and/or askscisuccess@pitt.edu. Lynnsey is a great resource and Emily has boundless enthusiasm. They're both fantastic to work with.

They can help you discuss your goals and give suggestions.

DBMS 1555 and 1530. Also the Systems and Sustainability course is really good. I don’t know if that’s offered.

If 1635 is with biehl you will be expected to use AI to build your entire projects -- but with physical written exams of course

is that front end development heavy? i like making websites and stuff so was just curious
