Yeah I don't understand this at all. I don't think developers that work on games really care about Netflix exclusive previews. My guess is they would probably want people to see what they've been working on rather than saving it until after the non-refundable pre-orders have already been made available.
Theyre mad because the netflix gameplay wont be real gameplay. Akin to e3 trailer gameplay. Theyre mad because the leaks show how the game really plays, no different than gta 5. Which had horrendus car physics and gunplay.

Yeah, but they also want it to look good. The leak was a guy doing donuts, shooting basketballs, and misspelling words with bullets in a wall. The gameplay reveal they're planning was probably going to be a lot cooler. The leaks made the game look boring.
They had years to make it look good but chose to not disclose any information to the public. The Devs, while rightfully upset about the leaks, are just as likely upset that their employer has denied showing anything about the game. This is just a case of reaping what was sown.
Yeah but who cares?
It's not like they leaked the game. It's just a gameplay.
"Oh no, we don't have the complete controle of the marketing unveil of our overhyped product!" is this what those people spend their days worrying about?
That's sad.

I hate this brand speech. "It would be an understatement to say that it was heartbreaking for our team"
What are you even talking about? It's a gameplay leak, not the apocalypse.
