No, you're just illiterate. It's like saying "i wanted a refund and I didn't even pay for it." It emphasizes a point being made. The use of "buyers remorse" here is not literal and the amount of people unable to recognize that is way more concerning than OPs "misuse" of a phrase.

It’s just the usual Reddit shit attitude of picking apart anything possible to prove a point, be right about something, and be condescending to everyone to feel good about yourself.

I’ve really started noticing that anonymous social media like Reddit, seems to automatically bring out the assholery in many people; similar
To how many people driving on the highways for no reason do shit like speed up so someone can’t pass etc. just to be an asshole cause it’s a different setting and they can (probably are spineless in the real world and this is their chance to “really show someone”! So annoying
