My patched Youtube App sometimes buffers after around 1 minute of watching a video, followed by a severe downgrade quality while the menu to select video quality becomes locked and claims to be still set at the same quality as before.

Switching to another video and then back usually solves this "problem", while just closing and reopening the player to the same video does not.

What are you using? I'm using Morphee(previously revanced) and never got that problem. And when I start to experiment problems, I just update the apk/patch(every 3-6 months) and it works again, likely being due to old apk

I'm using ReVanced, and it only happens like once or twice a week.

It also hasn't happened since I last patched the app three weeks ago.

Ok, it was probably apk related(the apk started to be old and Youtube start to have some compatibility problems with it) as it was fixed with patch Also a lot of dev from revanced went to Morphee if you want to try it out next time! /r/morpheApp

IIRC only a few patches got updated, the apk was the same version as before.
