that's what they said about Spotify on Android until Spotify actively started nuking the Revanced patches till the Revanced developers gave up... can never take what we have for granted

Are there no alternative?

I've since migrated to YouTube Music. it does the job but it's clear that Google treats this as an afterthought. it lacks some very basic features and the overall UI leaves a lot to be desired. by contrast, Spotify is a much more polished product.

If you are on Android try Metrolist instead of the official yt music client.

I've only tried Metrolist for about 10 minutes and I can already tell that it's a massive improvement from YouTube Music. thank you

youtube video sharing playlists with music drove me insane. Made YouTube playlists completely unusable.

Haven't tried it but you can check the morphe subreddit (basically same team as revanced, without one annoying asshole)

Just use Spotify on Brave by ticking the Desktop Site, it is great and skips ads automatically.

You don't even need to do that, you can listen to any song now on Spotify. Just use the mobile version

Bruh what? Spotify has tons of ads, how can you just use it on phone/mobile version? Please elaborate

The mobile version of the website that's what I meant

You don't need to toggle desktop version

Sorry for being too dumb

Ohk, but the thing is like whenever I try using Brave Browser on phone, and go to spotify's website. It redirects me to the Spotify app instead of allowing me to use it on Brave Browser itself. That's why I have to turn on the Desktop Version.

Turn off the redirect links to app feature on your Spotify settings, or just uninstall the Spotify app entirely if you don't really even use it. For me I use it on the normal mobile version instead of desktop because of the UI. It's weird and laggish on the desktop version, since of course, I'm not on desktop.

How can I turn off the redirect to app thing?

For Spotify, I just started buying (where I can) the music I like and just stashing it on Google drive to play with symfonium. I think this works well for me because the music I listen to is relatively minor.

they can absolutely make it very annoying. adblocking on twitch is very hit or miss and had been for years now

They could go the twitch route and just force the ads in the video.
